More like attempting insurance fraud! It’s all too common and usually that’s what they’re trying to do is make a claim on commercial truck companies. That’s why all trucks if they don’t should have forward facing cameras to capture these instances. As soon as that driver has to hard brake the camera is capturing everything leading up to the moment of the hard braking to reveal the hazard!
I used to drive long distances for work, like multiple states long distance. A man was playing games driving past me, making faces, cutting me off and brake checking. The drivers saw it, got on the CB and told me to drive on while they boxed him in. Never had a problem with professional drivers.😊
I didn't need to be punched in the face to have empathy and be more mature. That comes down to how you were raised. A break checker like him was entitled throughout childhood and was likely never punished. Not physically punished. But told no and held accountable. If he was 16 years old, his car would've been revoked as a punishment and taught that his antics on the road can get his license suspended.
@@Jake38ninebro g raised any kind of way is no excuse! People who have had the best upbringing decide to be @$$holes all by themselves. He was very lucky that he was only beating up for that first trucker it could have been a lot worse. Are you aware that a truck does not stop on a dime? I have seen episodes where a 1 ton car got pitted by a 20 ton truck. The car is completely totaled while there is just only moderate damage done to the truck. Like I said he was very lucky. I don't care if you have your brakes on if that truck rear ends here you're going to be bounced 20 or 30 ft down the road.
I remember getting brake-checked on the interstate, got me down to 20MPH even. So I signaled & switched lanes...as did he. Signaled & switched again, as did he. Signaled & switched again, as did he. Now, you may ask WHY I would signal my intent like this. The answer is simple: I wanted him more focused on his rearview mirror and less on traffic in front of him (like the semi we were coming up on who was at a near-stop due to traffic), and for him to get used to the idea that if I signaled my lane change then I would try to go around him in that lane. On the fourth signal/change he jerked into the next lane over before I had gone over the dashed white lines...and barely avoided plowing into that semi, while I switched into the opposite lane that just happened to have an exit 500-feet away, which I took. The bloody psycho, once he realized that his dumb-ass had been outsmarted by someone using first-grader logic, then attempted to drive up the grassy knoll separating the exit from the freeway to get back in front of me. Grass he got stuck on. Last I saw he was pounding his fist onto his steering wheel. As stated - psycho.

About 25+ years ago I (female) was driving on Interstate 40 in California heading East. I had my two very young children in my vehicle. This guy in a van kept following my speed… very fast, super super slow and I could not shake him driving in the middle of the desert. I jumped on my cb radio and hollered out my situation with the other driver. Way up ahead two truckers answered they asked for my vehicle description and the other driver vehicle description. The truck drivers told me to speed up past them and as I did the two truckers pulled this same scenario on the van behind me. I will always be forever grateful to them coming to my rescue ❤️
@@MilburtWhy? 25 years ago, I had a CB in MY POV as well. I've been assisted by several Drivers over the years. There was a time when they were Gentlemen, and could be *trusted* to assist a lady. Just because YOU aren't up to that standard, is no reason to disbelieve this woman.

Exactly. If someone is tailgating me and there’s no way for me to move over or speed up (such as a car in front of me that I don’t want to tailgate) I tap my brakes just light enough for the lights to come on a few times. If that doesn’t work I tap the brakes so the light comes on and then drop a gear or two to engine brake. That usually gets the message across. Slow enough deceleration so as to not be a brake check, added with the engine all of a sudden getting REAL loud brings most people back to reality without any real danger.
@Rhaspun I swear some people just don't care. Or are so caught up in their own world they imagine if they do get hit, it's the other persons fault. Entitlement on the road is out of control in this day and age. I'm just trying to get safely to my destination without getting any tickets, that's all I care about. 😅
@@sasquatchdude4537It's an insurance scam. Just like in many poor countries mothers throw their children under random cars to get money. That's why dashcams are nearly mandatory in such countries.
@@sasquatchdude4537Usually you could test your brakes before entering a motorway but not on a motorway. So they kind of have taken this all too far now.
Also their brakes don't work like the brakes on a car. You could slam the brake pedal to the floor and it's still going to do nothing for about a second and then come on gradually.
Those are hazard lights, not brake checking. Since the video starts there we have no evidence the car driver did anything wrong but we do see the truckers violate the law.
It doesn't matter what leads up to it, break checking someone is never justifiable. You're putting not only your own life in danger but also the lives of other people just to soothe your broken ego and feel like you one upped some stranger on the road you're having a 10 second beef with
Yeah and something you never want to do because unless the truck has a dash cam no one can confirm how far you where when they were brake checked them and also either way your getting in trouble if police get involved
How ridiculous as a fully loaded truck takes time to slow down, so not only disrespectful but damn dangerous as well! This is how multi pile up accidents happen and in cases not everyone is lucky enough to walk away with their lives. Good on u guys 👍 xo ❤
People are so stupid. My dad used to be a lorry driver and, what people need to appreciate is, due to the size and weight of a lorry/truck, it takes longer for them to stop than a car. If you brake check a truck, you're literally putting your life on the line.

Normally, I'm with truckers but a few months ago I was on my way to work and I promise you despite doing nothing wrong, a trucker almost ran me off the highway. I had been driving in the right lane, he was in the center, and I had been in front of him for a few miles, so there's no way he didn't see me. @Sphere16 it's basically you getting in front of someone and intentionally hitting the brakes when there's clearly no need to hit them so you can try to do insurance fraud or provoke a reaction out of your victim behind you, nowadays that fraudulent won't be so easy thanks to dashcam footage

Truckers are the best!!! I was driving 309 at 1am in the morning in my little 78 Honda and a pickup truck kept speeding up getting in front of me trying to either run me off the road or trying to get me to stop. As a young female driving alone I was scared. But just then a trucker, who saw what was going on, came to my rescue! He got up on the pickup driver and started blaring his horn. The pickup driver took off and the trucker stayed with me from Maryland all the way to Virginia, where I got off the highway. The trucker slowed almost to a stop, beeped, gave me the thumbs up, I returned the thumbs up and finished my journey!! He was amazing! There was no social media back then, 1990, but I sure wish I could find that trucker and thank him!!

I’m a trucker in the US and I get some relief when I see a reckless driver end their driving privileges permanently. The roads become instantly safer. Been driving for almost 30 years through Mexico and all the US. Common sense and common courtesy are the two important ingredients in three to be a professional driver and the third is pay attention.
My brother, may he RIP, was a trucker. One day, he got fed up with me complaining about truckers and he put me in my place and told me off. Now, granted, I was stupid and in my early 20s. I’m 53 now. But, he explained a lot about weight, the ability to stop with a 90k load and truckers have to pass just like the rest of us. He asked me to give truckers grace and patience. That was the best thing he could have said because it burned grace and patience in my brain forever and I apply it to most everything if that makes sense. Thank you for hauling things that make my life better in many ways. ❤

I typically drove a bucket truck but took the lowboy a couple times. I'm sure you can tell who drove class A even when we are in a car. I traded that job for a cat 980, D8 or D9 and still run into bad drivers in the pit.
My Dad is a long haul trucker so I have nothing but respect for these men. Truckers all keep in touch via CB radio and when you mess with one, best believe more will show up to help.
Truckers are also really good at helping law enforcement by blocking in cars that were in a pursuit or helping save bridge jumpers trying to end their lives. The second I've actually seen in a news story.

This isn't just road rage. In the 90s in Russia, trucks were often stopped and robbed on highways. Since then, truck drivers have reacted extremely negatively to forced stop attempts.
I drove for years. People don't realize how close they often come to no longer being here. 80,000 Pounds can't be stopped on a dime! Just because they can stop, it doesn't mean the truck won't SQUASH them.
This is the part that seems oblivious to 4 wheelers. We are carrying literally thousands of pounds. To stop & then accelerate in a speedy rate is not possible.
I hate those people! I had a chance to visit North and South Carolina and noticed on their freeways they have a minimum speed posted! I love that! Slower traffic keep right. Left lane is for passing, not traveling! Minimum + maximum freeway speed limits!
Back in the day my father was a truck driver. My mother was driving and when we got home she was freaked out saying truckers were blocking her. He looked at her and asked "did you keep passing them then slow down when you passed them" I'll never forget that look on her face and he said that's what they do. So from a young age I learned what to do and not do around trucks. It's common sense.
People shouldn't drive like that no matter who is around them, semi-trucks or regular vehicles. Passing someone, then slowing down is one of the most annoying, frustrating, retarded things a driver can do!!!
@idontknow12354neither do slow drivers in cars in the fast lane .. Consequences Reactions to actions Things happen for a reason When you are out driving Don’t give people reasons to react to your actions
How so many lack common sense Especially when driving And she was innocently doing that too but people get so defensive and mean so quickly when driving. I just stay far away as possible from other drivers
In Russia truckers on the same road constantly TALK to each other through radio, so if you mess with one trucker, you mess with EVERY trucker. Also, they often block the roadside, risking their trucks and cargo to prevent smartasses to pass everyone in the "line" (idk the exect word for line in this context))))
Well that app comma of three truckers boxing in a little car and three guys coming out basically attacking him.... Probably doesn't help truckers... And they might be lucky that he wasn't a firearm carrying.Dude that was abused despite so called break checking for some reason.. Maybe no good reason but still nobody was really threatened.... Until they threatened him hugely.
And then you get sued for damages resulting from hitting their car + any medical bills associated with its occupants bc the law says you need to have enough distance between your vehicle and theirs in order to stop safely in the event of an emergency. Whether intentional or not, this driver can claim he stopped for some emergency reason (obstruction in the road, etc) and, without further evidence to the contrary, that would be all it takes to win the case. Terrible, terrible advice. Just don't be a d1ck on the roads, even if someone else is being a d1ck to you. Plain and simple.
I wish that some highway traffic organization somewhere would produce a report which explains the main motives behind brake checking … as in … out of 10 brake checking incidents: 3 are looking to commit insurance fraud 3 are behaving erratically as a result of drug or alcohol consumption. 2 aren’t getting enough love/sex 1 bumped his head on plumbing pipes 1 is an angry sob and wants other people to pay for what has happened to him in life due to the fact that he’s a sob.

I had a friend who had a team driver. His co-driver was pulling off the freeway when suddenly another trucker dived in at the last second to catch the rest stop exit. My friend was in the sleeper and his co-driver had no choice but to slam on the brakes. My friend did a superman through the windshield and ended on top of the engine. He some serious burns on about 1/2 his body and a lot of broken bones. He went through rehab for almost 18 months. He won a huge lawsuit. He wanted to start his own trucking company. He went to college for that and he has more than enough money to let his career grow without worrying about paying for bills until he starts earning enough as an architect.
