I started at Hogan and was greatful. Training is only 3 weeks long, and I was extra lucky because I didn't have to go OTR for the training. I drove from St. Louis to Indianapolis and back at the hotel every night. They paid my school tuition and after 8 months later I left for something better. But yes I would definitely recommend Hogan Transportation
Thanks for the leads, this trucking is something else, I graduated in March and need to get some experience, so I’m gonna try some of the ones you recommended. And you gonna get paid peanuts I see until you get that experience.. 🥴
I graduated 7mnths ago and made the mistake of not immediately going with a truck company. Now since I don’t have experience no one wants to hire me. Not even for student driver. I’ve tried all of the big name companies and even small name companies. I’ve applied to over 50 truck companies. A lot of them either aren’t hiring in my area ( Slidell, Louisiana) or they req 3months of experience or u have to apply with them within the first 3-6 months out of school. It was a waste of $6000 🤦🏾♀️
@@CAMTHETRUCKER thanks but when u press 3 to be transferred over to the recent grads recruiting, no one answers. Been calling since yesterday. Got orientation Monday with a different company, hopefully everything goes well.
@Ash I did the same thing. The safety director at the very first company I had worked for told me: If you go back to school for a 1 week refresher course, then you’ll be able to get on. I did and they hired me. Make contact with the company that you want to works for and ask about this route. Good luck!
I got a property damage on my first week at Schneider. Got fired. So rn I’m at trans Am. I got 3 months experience with them now but they suck as far as the lease you already know. You think I should finish my 6 months out before I look for another company cuz the good ones want 6 clean months?

Hey I'm from NY and was a weed smoker but I quit once I got my CDL recently. So its been around 30 days and I can definitely PASS a urine test but I hear its 90-120 days to pass a hair follicle. Besides Western Express do you know any Starter Companies that give Urine Drug Test ONLY because I've been doing my research and it seems a lot of starter companies do Hair and Urine test and I probably won't be able to pass a hair test for another 3 months. Do I have any other options?

This is my current issue... I got my CDL with a beer distributor and drove locally. Left them for better pay and got fired after 2 months over BS. Now I'm in this situation where it seems NO ONE will touch me... Great MVR but a lot of work history and only local CDL work. The market is fucking BRUTAL right now! I see that I won't have a choice but to be open to regional/dedicated work and take whatever company will bring me on... Been with my girl for 8 years and this is the first time we'll be separated if I go regional... Thankfully she's awesome and understanding... It's funny realizing that the "trucker shortage" isn't so much a trucker shortage, but companies being unwilling to bring drivers on...

@@onlydame - Found a company. They don’t hire sap drivers but they help u complete step 4 and 5. They’re called ‘foley services’. So what I’m currently doing is I paid them to complete step 4 and 5 n I’m just gonna do school over when I get the money.
