Yes indeed I went to CR England did my year an now I drive hazmat tankers local work making almost 100 thousand. Look at the big picture is what I tell people when going to any company. A year is not long hell I been in jail longer then that. Why not make the best out off it

I went with Maverick including their CDL program and have nothing but good things to say about them. Yes they are flat bed but they treated me like family, not just another number. Schneider has a good orientation program but the pay is not the best. Best advice, go with a Mega carrier and get at least one year, then start looking for mom and pop companies. The doors will start to open after getting that one year behind the wheel. Don't give up if truckings what you really want to do. Good luck...

At any rate it sounds like for the first 6months to a year you have to take your lumps and it really doesn’t seem like the company will matter until you have that experience.

Those mega companies have no choice but to hire newbies. They will even have a new driver training others after six months. It's really crazy and unsafe actually.

I am a senior instructor at roadtex/Supreme trucking out of Bridgewater New Jersey....they hire out of cdl school...guaranteed 3000 miles per week...and start new drivers at 55 cpm...they also will hire you if you have felonies...they treat you fair and don't sweat you on home time...I've been there for five years and I started straight out of school...they pay you what your worth

I went to cr England school in 97. I left without my license and got it in a private CDL school. CR England terrified me! There are other companies that will train you and own you for at least a year.

When I got on in 73, the company told me they would rather have no experience . This was, they said, drivers get bad habits and resent trying to change. I saw drivers walk away from $100,000 a year in the 80's rather than preform a turn as the supervisor requested.

Thank You - I finishing my CDL school - once licensed I already applied to Schneider Trucking. That said currently its late October 21, this past 8 months or so I personally traveled the western side of the US. This traveling excursion was to talk with truckers all over other states, 60 drivers , various companies, 11 different states. Everyone “EVERYONE” told me driver experience counts ( ability to control 80k over various environments safety) was Paramount !!!. Just out of school / no experience- what’s your best option ALL 60 driver recommended me to MEGA CARRIERS for 1 simple reason = TRAINING. Only YOU know you past felony, drivers record, abilities driving. DO YOU - NO ONE ON THIS CHANNEL IS GOING TO PAY YOUR BILLS FOR YOU / FEED YOUR FAMILY OR LISTEN TO YOU GRIPS. YOU LIFE IS IN YOU HANDS SO DO U. People talk smack cool - till they pay your bill and feed you and your family ITS JUST HOT AIR FROM A BITTER PERSON- just walk away!!!!

Alex!!! TMC is mostly flatbed. They also have a few stepdeck/rgn trailers for a couple of dedicated accounts. They haul for John Deere and also have a boat division.

I have 1 minor thing on my DAC report that is keeping me from changing jobs. Any good companies that aren't so strict on qualifying...? I've been driving for 3 years.... I applied for Knight 4 times, Legend, US Express, and a few others but they just won't qualify me. It was a very minor sideswipe changing lanes...knocked the mirror off the car, not recordable and stuck on my DAC simply as "side swipe accident"....😒

I started driving for Maverick Transportation right after truck driving school because they started off more cpm than most of the other companies I researched and there was a lot of positive reviews about their company. I began with flatbed, did it for about 6 months then went to the TCD division. I can say it’s a great company.

I went to crst. I choose them because they help me with my permit n cdl. And when I finish school I will be with a trainer to help further my experience. Truck driving school 3 weeks is not enough time for anyone but driving with a trainer for 6months or so will give u r anyone more experienced which would give u a chance of getting that big job. As a rookie driver I choose to learn more than money.

I'm with C.R. England right now, working on month 2 of OTR. I gotta say if you can get through school which is about 3-5 weeks long. Keep in mind you pay for your own food and they pay for your hotel.Then you are living with a trainer and another driver in a 3 bunk truck for 2 weeks. it is worth it. You can make decent money with this company starting out. They have guaranteed pay also for when you first start out. I would recommend having your bills taken care of before taking this journey and having at least 1000.00 to make it through school. I would also recommend getting your clp before hand so you will be ahead of the game. If you have any questions about C.R. England let me know and I will do my best to answer them for you. I have grossed about 4000 in my first month. The money will only get better also from what my trainer has told me.

Might be an oddball question for you to consider, but would you think about a video or community post to ask about which companies hair follicle & urine test vs just urine test? I gave up the herb 5 months ago to change my life for the good. I have found a lot of megas follicle test. Also i have been researching that quite the amount of people pop hot past 3 months . i dont want to risk the bs...thx and good stuff you are doing!!!

I drive for ABF Freight; I’m pretty sure they’ve started training new drivers now. I know for sure they have a veteran training program.

Thanks for not using your time as bait to bash drivers, trash drivers and virtually criminalize drivers. Most all of these drivers are hard working and are actually doing very well for themselves. Of course thats given the current industry. Advice on these new guys coming in, guys researching changing companies and guys not here but are looking at us as an industry to jump into would make a good discussion. Sliding pay scales, bonuses, transition pay, cpm, reset driving, recap driving, o/o, own labels, etc., etc. a lot of industry knowledge needs to be studied before learning the hard way and ruining yourself. I have only caught your channel a couple of times so Im not fully familiar with all of your past topics. My bad if I did some toe stepping. Previously on some other channels I rocked the house on a couple of trainers and "so-called" experts just flat out bashing drivers as themselves self positioned as "Gods of the industry." They were baiters for a bunch of attitude as if they were working some clandestine ninja operation against drivers. You dont come off like this on your channel. Keep it up!👍

I went to a truck driving school and did not complete the program ( there were some issues, long story) but if you could tell me a company that would hire me since I still have my permit and my DOT card. Any suggestions? I received a call from FFE Transport and was told that their policy was they could not hire me if I did not complete the school. Let me know. Thank you

Lots of FedEx contractor carriers hire straight out of school. Starting pay at most is at least $.45 a mile. Terminal to terminal runs. If I knew what I know now this is the route I would go

Hello I already have a CDL A, but I don’t have endorsements. I can study and add them to my license. In addition, I have no experience but I’d like to get into a trucking company that treats new guys fairly, good training, and good company culture. Because not everyone can get into UPS! I like their City Driver job but you need the endorsements. Having said that, I have a great driving record, no criminal history, and good employment history. I’d like to specialize one day but I still need experience. Also, I live in the NYC area. What can you recommend that are hiring now? Thank you in advance.

so would trying to get my CDLs after I get my license be a bad idea? I found an add for a company that trains you and says you will make 75k as a first year driver and provide a place to stay while training. I wouldn't be trying to provide for a family so I am fine with long times on the road.

It's a real problem for new drivers there are not a lot of companies out there that will hire you right out of school. Mega carriers will but that's also why they're referred to as training companies because they will higher brand new drivers no experience. Of course you will have to attend their training program which can last for one or two weeks but it's definitely worth doing that additional training is priceless. As for a company paying your tuition for CDL school I can guarantee you one way or another they're going to weasel out of that. Working for a mega carrier your first year as a truck driver you're not going to make much money but once you have that one year of experience or more you're set you can easily move on to another company making really good money. I started out working for Schneider what they were paying me was quite pathetic but they're training program was really good I will say that I am glad that I got that extra training they also put us up in a really nice hotel it was down in Phoenix it was like a little resort nice hotel with lots of palm trees around it a swimming pool Schneider paid for our breakfast and lunch paid us $400 a week during training overall it was a great experience I was kind of sad when the training ended.

I live in Miami, FL and my terminal is in Dallas, TX. I stay 5 weeks out and 5 days at home. My company flies me from the terminal to Miami and back. Works out well.

If you can’t go to roadmaster to get your CDL England’s not a bad company to start with. They will teach you the world of trucking in a real world situations. For people they are new to trucking. you have the first overcome your comfort zone. If you go to England for fill your contract and try to become a trainer. You’ll make the most money that way.

Hey I'm from NY and was a weed smoker but I quit once I got my CDL recently. So its been around 30 days and I can definitely PASS a urine test but I hear its 90-120 days to pass a hair follicle. Besides Western Express do you know any Starter Companies that give Urine Drug Test ONLY because I've been doing my research and it seems a lot of starter companies do Hair and Urine test and I probably won't be able to pass a hair test for another 3 months. Do I have any other options?

Hello guys, I’m in the process of getting my cdl class A learners permit, I know exactly what I want to do, I want to be a solo, otr, box trailer truck driver. What company would be a good starter company to sign on with after getting my cdl class a permit to be what I want to be? I’m very independent, so I want to be solo, I want to go over the road, I want less stops and more miles, and I’m fine with staying out for weeks even potentially a month at a time, provided that I could get perhaps up to a week off to be with my family when I get back before going on my next run. Also I want to do box trailer, nothing fancy just box trailer. Thank you any expertise would be appreciated.

I got cdl back in 2013 as a 23 year old, I paid only 800$ to get it from a small school. Now the prices are sky rocket from 3000 to 5000$

I had a felony so I went with CRST. I had a 10 month contract which I completed because I didn’t wanna pay $5000 for my schooling. If you have a felony it’s hard to find a company That will take you. Team driving is all they do it’s best to going to a team driving company with a friend but if you can’t do that they will give you a teammate and it can go really good or really bad.

FedEx hires with no training. I went to salt lake trucking group for trucking school and they then hooked me up with Fedex ground.

Remember someone else’s bad experience doesn’t mean it will be your experience 😉. Chances are, that person did something they weren’t suppose to.

i know u mentioned having a terminal near you right...but if your going home dont u get to take the truck home?
