This brings back so many memories, i remember seeing most of these on the road in the 70's 80's and early 90's, my late dad used to drive a Leyland lynx in the early 70's

As always, thanks for the memories, Silly things like being empty with a flatbed overnight and putting your sheets under the legs or if you had a rigid drive up on the sheets to stop those tea leaves from nicking your sheets, Thank you.

Two heavy Bedfords on the Motorway in the early 1970s. 4000 Series Fodens were lovely Trucks. I remember when they were launched Paccar brought over a Peterbilt or a Kenworth to show alongside the new Foden 4525 XL.

So much respect for those wagon lads! I wonder what they think about today's wagons?? I bet they have great stories to tell ❤ Thank you for sharing your videos x

Today's wagons are fantastic Caroline but I wouldn't drive one for all the tea in China. I don't like being tracked, I don't like phone calls and I can handle deadlines in my own way in my own time. The wages are still shite of coarse.

@@seamusburke9101 well said!! Too many rules and regulations today..plus there's VOSA. The pressures of driving a wagon are immense now...nevermind, if it's in your DNA / BLOOD we will manage xxxxx

@@carolinemarley8426I haven't driven now for 33 years except for a bad decision I made about 15 years ago to get involved in a low loader with someone who turned out to be a complete cowboy . I needn't tell you that romance soon fizzled out and I was back on a crawler crane again. I still have a licence and all the other bullshit qualification but I think I can safely say never again, Still love looking at old motors and would love to have a classic but too late now I think.

@@seamusburke9101 You are never to old for a classic wagon!!! My son drives a low loader..its a Volvo FH with a 3 axle step frame trailer, but the rates are not so good at the moment . He's got an old F7 classic 💖
