I live in Dallas and the one thing I hate about Dallas is traffic no matter if there is road construction or not. Traffic is going to be everywhere.

I've got 12 years in, a million plus miles . And drove Dallas locally for 9 months and that's all I needed . So back to OTR I went My 14 year old son follows you . You have great content . Keep up the good work driver . Keep the shiny side up driver 10-4!!!!!

Every time I see a cfi I look to see if it's Dave but then I realized I have no clue what he looks like so I just look for the gopro on the mirror lol

At 6:15 through 8:00, are very instructional for me as I learned to be more considerate to truck drivers as you articulated your thinking out loud. I am learning how you have to think and consider vehicle drivers as you navigate through the city. Given the length of a truck and the speed of a truck driver, you demonstrate patience of a saint. I will yield to truck drivers going forward knowing this.

With regard to getting out to help others with backings, I make it a point to always get out and at least offer to spot somebody on their blind side if they GOAL even once. I try to avoid giving them any kind of advice, unless they make it very clear to me that they don't know what they are doing. Otherwise, a simple thumb up for "clear" or an X pattern for "stop moving" and a big, circular pattern with an index finger for "start chasing the trailer down" is all I do.

The 30-635 interchange is a fucking disaster right now. Pretty much every city in Texas is under road work right now. It's absolutely ridiculous

I'm from Dallas and yesterday this car wanted to slide through this truck as it was making a right turn. People really don't know how to drive or pay attention when there's a truck around them.

They have been working construction (at the beginning of the video) on that road for three years now. First I think they widened the road and now I think they are expanding the Richardson Police Department (not totally sure)

I wish that was as bad as traffic gets where I have to drive. Most of the time it takes over an hour to go 20 miles. Good to see you leaving the apace in front of you, there is no such thing as too much space when driving a truck, regardless of what others may think.

I live in the Dallas area and am learning to drive right now - the traffic sucks haha. I wish I could learn somewhere out in the countryside so I could avoid tons of dumb and distracted drivers.

I dont drive a truck but in my travels the most maniacal drivers i've seen are in chicago and atlanta. Going through atlanta I feel lucky to be alive when I come out the other side.

Dave, the bad thing is they drive the same roads everyday, and know what lane they need to be in. But they want to get there 1 or 2 seconds faster. And yes they don’t care or even pay attention . As far as traffic, every major city has their traffic issues (Dallas, Seattle, Los Angeles, Chicago, Memphis, Atlanta, etc, etc). Been all over they all look pretty on postcards, but suck to drive in..

I'm not very good at trucks, but I like to watch videos with trucks, I mostly watch videos with trucks from Romania, which is in Europe, and I want to know if the trailers in the USA are longer than those in Europe, because I started watching your videos, which I appreciate, and it seems to me that the trailer is longer than the one in Europe

Can you try to do a delivery that is in Washington state(Puget Sound side or the plateau side) every so often? I live about an hour south of Seattle and 30 mins from Tacoma. It would be cool to see what driving a truck around the different cities through this beautiful and interesting state. You really only have one video of you doing a load from Tacoma, Wa. It would really be cool.

When your truck senses that your too close to another vehicle and the alarm goes off. Is that signal just for you or is it somehow documented or transmitted to CFI? The reason I ask is that it seems that when cars get over in front of you to close it alarms. Just wondering if those negatively affect the driver in anyway?. Keep trucking always enjoy your videos

Pittsburgh 376 is a beast day or night. Easier in daytime only bc you're moving at 5mph instead of 80mph in a 55mph but it's not easy or fun.
