Great video Neisha. In this one I love how you treat everyone with respect, kindness, and patience.........and you are always smiling as well. I also admire your transparency. There are days I don't feeli like doing anything or being productive at all and guilt can set in. Last week, I wasn't productive AT ALL. I was dealing with the flu but I still felt bad somehow. I recently made a rookie mistake in regards to my fifth wheel 😅. I allowed myself to be distracted midway through dropping my trailer, so when I jumped back in...I totally forgot that I didn't lower my landing gear. Sooooooo...I dropped my trailer. Luckily I caught it on my frame but it wasn't easy getting that sucka back up.
I did that early this year actually; I was SHOOK. So thankful I didn’t drop it all the way. That’s why I triple check & pull from under the trailer super slow now 😂😂 I’m so happy yours didn’t drop either! ❤️

Hi Niesha, a few blogs back you recorded the release arm, up close & from several angles. Pulling that release arm has been quite the challenge for me. However, this past weekend the Lord brought your blog to mind. I took a deep breath, calmed my mind, focused on that arm & did what in my mind I thought would work. Yep! It did! PTL! You have been a blessing in many ways. I take my exam 12/30 & hope to be out with my trainer by 1/3/23. Thank you for sharing your life, faith & career. It’s inspiring & edifying. I was definitely rooting for you on that fifth wheel handle! I remembered older vlogs where it was being stubborn as well! The growth is amazing! These are trying times amongst us and I am grateful that you are putting videos together despite your busy busy schedule and all the emotions that swirl around in life. Niesha whenever your 5th wheel pin wont pull out get in the truck. Push in the truck brake Pull out the trailer brake Pull back slightly. Pull out the truck and tailor brake. Pull the 5th wheel handle. It works every time 😊
Girl,you better buy that 5th wheel puller that’s a must have ,best jobs in that area is line haul,like Indy drop and hook back to yard ,less stress great pay regular off time ☺
My company bought my 5th puller since my 5th wheel is always having problems especially when the temps freezes but they're pretty much ineffective. So when it locks up and won't release I press the dump air button while outside of the truck and quickly pull it while its still deflating.. works for me every time.
What I’ve found that always worked for me is just putting the truck in reverse and just push in the the tractor brake while leaving the trailer brake locked and gently back up to relieve pressure from the fifth wheel. Pull the tractor brake back out while you’re still in reverse backing up a little

you could not pull the release arm because you did not let the landing gear down enough...and just bump it. too much tention on the jaws they wont release
Firstly, the sims character movements have me laughing every time. Second, it definitely was one of those days for you ; from people getting the doc mixed up & then you had to struggle to get that thing open at the bottom of your truck. Those type of days will have you ready to just say F this. 😂

My arms are entirely too short and the struggle be real with that thang.

Get a crow bar wit a hook on it, or if you have a heavy load strap chain with the hook on it, that works too put the hook on the pull handle on the 5th wheel, and yank the chain.
Please be careful with that 5th wheel when pulling on the lever. I would hate to see you damage your shoulder. And yes get the lever puller as soon as possible. Stay safe. New subscriber here!

21:39 I had a truck school teacher tell us that they would keep a spray bottle of light soapy water with em in case things got a bit sticky like this maybe it might help? To spray on the locking jaw & release arm inside. They mostly used it on tandems though.
Always when you are dropping off trl make sure you stay back up to take pressure off that pin when you pull the handle 👌. She has beautiful eyes and teeth. Be safe out there!

How long did you have to wait after receiving your CDL license and how did you learn to back up so good❓👍🏿🥰
