We managed to have 110,000 soldiers, upgrade our entire tank fleet, and land artillery well waging a war in Afghanistan for 0.9%. Moral was high. I served from 2013-2022 trust me the military had changed for the worse in every way. And let’s be real the 1.39% we spend is only that high because the Libs lumped wheelchairs for veterans, and civilian servants in defence soending.

All the natural resources of Canada belong to everyone, its the job of civil servants to properly manage the financial gains of those resources, that are sold off to benefit the entire nation. Canada is in the top 3 of oil producing nations. Country's in the middle east pay $40 cents/litre, why are Canadian's paying over $1.50/litre. There is an abundance of petroleum to make Canada such a rich nation, that income taxes, property taxes and 90% of the public sector services could be funded by the sales of oil. Dividends checks should be sent out every 1/4, to help Canadians instead of making politicians and oil company's rich. Nationalize our oil so that Canadian's live better.

there is no reason why Canada doesn't put in double what we do on defense its sickening what has happened to our military forces. its embarrassing 3rd world countries have better then again we probably paid for it. trulip over spending on noughthing we could have a new military in a few years.

Well, Trudeau has to make up for all the military budget slashing under Harper (under whom Canada's contribution was a measly 0.8%). At least Trudeau has brought it up to 1.37%.

Yea!! But don't forget what statement Trudeau made recently that the long peace we've enjoyed since WW2 is now over. Like what the heck did he mean by that? Biden and Trudeau know they've long overstayed their welcome as world leaders but I don't think they want to give up their seats of power easily. I'm really afraid what these guys are planning.
