I remember andrea maack and have " birch ". Have a sample of " vixi " and it was translucent and elusive at first - but have since settled on " bleu de chanel " made from vegetable matter ..

Lovely work as always. Re: skyrocketing prices, I’d be interested in a dedicated discussion. Would be nice to hear how other hobbyists have adjusted their sampling and buying habits. For my part, I’ve stopped looking at Luckyscent’s new releases page-a page I used to haunt-because I grew tired of seeing, say, a new Amouage, only to learn it’s $500USD, a laughable sum in my opinion. On the other hand, it might be one of those subjects about which there’s little new to say, and all we can do is sigh and shrug. In any case, thanks again.

After sampling Aphelie I was rather taken with it and picked up a bottle using discounts for the equivalent of 130 Pounds in the UK, but I wouldn’t have purchased it at retail pricing. I do think pricing needs to be at least somehow factored in fragrance reviews. These are commercial products as much as pieces of art and to only treat one aspect feels incomplete. Most consumers have to be at least a little picky and weighing price vs content is a fair point for folks wanting a review.
