Use CADET to make conversion. COMPASS To TRUE Add easterly and subtract westerly TRUE to COMPASS. Subtract Easterly and add westerly

Nope! West is best and east is least. This is ofc assuming you are looking to convert true to magnetic which is going to be the case if you are working off of a sectional, which displays grid lines in true headings, and you are trying to convert them to a magnetic heading so you can set that on your instruments.
