I like true haunted house stories. I often imagine what it must be like to be a ghost apparently confined to such a small place, be it a house, a room, or even a hallway, for many long years, perhaps until the dwelling is demolished. Do they go insane from the endless ennui? Or is it enjoyable not having to worry about anything and just relish passing the time? Are they lonely or they do they love no longer being attached to anyone and having no more worry? Do they even notice time passing or is their entire experience only of some eternal now interrupted only occasionally by memories of life and that nostalgia it brings? I guess I'll find out eventually....

This is one of the best and astute comments I’ve ever read. I’ve had that exact thought process many times. Many years ago I read a short story that was told from the ghost’s point of view and I loved it! I only wish I could remember the title and author.

When I was little back in the 80s, my family and I moved into this apartment in Texas. When we moved in, there was a bed that was left behind inside the apartment. Since my parents didn't have much money, they decided to keep the bed and let me and my younger brother to sleep on it. I woke up around 3am almost every night to see an old lady sitting on the corner of the bed watching us as we sleep. The lady would disappeared around 430am to 5am around that time. I think that the bed that was left there, belong to the old lady.

I listen to the male horror narrators too. They will flat out start the same sentence over 3 times and not edit it out and not even acknowledge they screwed up. Please do not apologize for bumping the mike. You don't owe any of us any apologies. You are a fabulous narrator.

Agghhh yeahh no! lol. I don't blame you lol. The front of our house is kind of all open and there's one long mirror that runs down the main hall and it reflect like..3-4 rooms. I never look at it at night. EEP! lol

Honestly I think u need to have WAY more confidence and not apologize so much and u need to pat yourself on the back because in my opinion I search and search and search for good material and I've listened to SO many of these other popular channels and so far your content is the absolute best. The material is unique, it varies, and it's super interesting like as if I'm literally sitting around a living room, a campfire, or at a sleepover and someone is telling us things that happened to them. And trust me I'm VERY picky because let me tell you when I say I grew up with some story tellers! My uncles, cousins and friends used to scare the hell out of me with the tales they used to tell. Another thing, I can't stand just ONE subject it's boring and predictable. But YOU my dear went from a ship to a dorm to all kinds of other different scenarios. Keep doing what you're doing, and last I really enjoyed your voice it wasn't too much nor too little and its very soothing.

Get your grandmother a set of soft headphones - quieter for the rest of the household, and she'll be able to hear the TV better ..

Yeah, we tried that idea, but it didn't go over very well lol. It's really okay, it's just hard for recording sometimes. If I'm doing a regular video it's ok because I don't have to turn the gain up as high. But, if I'm doing a quieter one I have to wait until later. But I don't mind. I'm up late anyway. :) And the mornings are also quiet, so now that I can shut the window during the morning time, I have more time.

We're the same person...yeah, that's me. Use the images off the card if you want to. Try using soft over the head old school headphones. That worked with my grandmother back in the '70s . Without them, she had it all the way up to the distortion point...making it harder to understand. Another option are speakers in the chair she uses most...

Scott Thomas The speaker next to the chair is a great idea! My grandpa was fully deaf in one ear and 80% deaf in the other ear so he had a hearing aid. My grandparents put a small speaker next to his recliner chair and that (plus CC) helped a lot when he watched TV.

And yeah...it's not that it wouldn't work, it's just that she is a little resistant to it. She is also dealing with Alzheimer's and things, so it can be a little difficult to convince her to change something up lol. But we're working on it. :) That would be a good idea for sure.

I realize you're simply narrating what someone has written BUT JESUS!!!!!......IF I'D HAD RECIEVED THIS STORY, WITH THAT MANY "FIANCE'S" PEPPERED THROUGHOUT, I'D HAVE HAD TO TAKEN SOME "CREATIVE LIBERTIES" OR AT THE VERY LEAST SOME "SELECTIVE EDITING", AND AS THE ORIGINAL AUTHOR OBVIOUSLY DIDNT, EXPLORED SOME OTHER VOCABULARY OPTIONS.
