I was looking at the Z 600mm PF lens, and then compared it to the 180-600mm and I chose to buy the 180-600mm, and the money I saved paid for half of the Z 800mm. Sweet. This Z 800mm lens even fits in a carry-on bag. I love the ease of using it hand-held.
Seriously I think this might be the best lens on the market, for my purposes (usually small, skittish songbirds) on the market today. The only thing holding me back, is that I need a pro level crop sensor body to put it on, for an equivalent focal length of 1280mm (I think Nikon crops are 1.5 ? ...so 1200mm) Honestly, I have a truck sitting on the driveway, that I can barely afford to drive, that I would sell, for this lens and a pro level crop sensor body. Of course I'd rent it first. I don't buy ANY expensive gear without giving it a test run. BTW, I have taken about 130K photos with my Canon R7 + 800 F11, in the last year. And for all of this combos weaknesses, its still the best I have found, for my purposes.
