The belt score at the end is such an awesome feature of your content. There are a lot of deck vids out there claiming crazy win% for click bait, but your content really focuses on educating the player, keep it up! I just picked up Magic after a long time and it's awesome to see work like this to get up to speed. Liked and subscribed!
Thank you for that. Of course I'll have my bias but I really try to be honest about a deck. I think the way I play this deck is purple belt but I've seen some great player with experience with this deck kill it will well over 100 games so thought the brown was deserved. Glad you got back in. Standard is so amazing right now.
Awesome deck spotlight, this is a great option for people that want to put in the time to learn it, there is not a lot of specific hate in the meta for this at the moment!
The first couple times I ran into this deck, I thought it was going to be an easy win, but I always seem lose to it lol. I am glad I got to see you play it on here though. Gives me a much better understanding of it.
Haha those were my exact thoughts as well. I was thinking they were playing some jank. I think the best way to learn a deck and how to beat it is to play with it.
Love this deck, u could won One turn earlier using the maps on the Last match. I made a version with case of the stolen Falcon and that One mana spell that turns a creature or artifact in a 4/3 till end of turn, it's more agressive, but less consistent
Yeah, I for sure need a learning curve with this deck. I felt so often my play was not great in this one. I hate when you have all this other thoughts and miss the obvious I'm a beginner player play lol.
You gotta try this brew I’ve got. I think Armadillo, of all cards, was the sauce that Boros helping hand/mentor needed With monstrous rage on it, its ability makes it a 6/5 trample. this is an interesting one. Armadillo is one I'd never think of. Surprised no 4 monstrous rage. Also only thrill of possibility to toss mentor in the graveyard? Do you plan to hard cast it most times and just bring it back because they always kill it?
@@AceMTG good call, probably need another card or two that discards. So far the plan isn’t necessarily to go super fast, but to stack up value, so usually I’m casting helping hands on 3 or later
@@AceMTG I think I’ll try a version that replaces the Forge with something that more directly helps the plan of the deck. Forge is great and triggers Prowess but I think it’s probably suboptimal
If i had a nickel for every time ive returned to magic after a long hiatus, only to find a dirt-cheap mono blue tempo deck to play in standard, id have two nickels. Which isnt a lot of money, but its weird that it happened twice. This deck is sweet, are there any rare/mythic upgrades that would be better here?
So true. I felt the same. I knew right away this deck would take some time to really get great at. Any little mistake really sets you back and because this is not a deck of bombs it all has to be played right. Why I gave it a brown belt. In the right hands it is a killer but I need to learn it more.
It really was. It gave me the feel of all budget decks where you feel like the underdog and underpowered making the win feel so much better but the deck is actually legit.
That is so hard. I gave it so much tough and really the top pick for me is a mirrex maybe for late game artifacts. syr ginger is an okay one but might actually makethe deck weaker. This deck is just so synergistic.
The only thing that beats this deck is the draw; this deck got me to a bar away to mythic then went on a losing streak due to bad draws multiple times in a row.
Yeah, sometimes you don't get the land you need to really establish. I've seen so many times my opponent stuck on two lands and can't fully do their thing giving me the time to win.
@@AceMTG dude, if I could show you my profile on untapped, you’ll really feel my pain on the “on draw” part!🤣🤣🤣 So for the past three days, my starting hand will be good but then I’ll draw into stuff I basically don’t need at the time and I’m basically catching a death blow afterwards. That’s the crazy thing about this version of mono blue tempo, you can literally beat any deck if you get the correct draw “each time.” I am highly considering adding Mirrex in here for that extra 1/1 on the opponents’ turn when you are out of cards.
@@ShawnRakar I agree with the mirrex. It is the only true change I can see but I'm with you on this deck. At times it does feel you have the meta where you want them and then 4,5,6 bad draws in the game and you have zero power lol
@@AceMTG update Mirrex synergies well with this build! You can drop the Glyph and/or Retrofitter on the artifact mite and you can have it pilot the hoverbike. Against Azorious Control, you just make tokens with toxic so you don’t risk getting stuff countered and slow play them to win.
For real play I do love BO3 but most don't like one full match as the video and want to see a deck goes against lots of matches. So many great BO3 content out there though but probably not something I will do a ton of.
