It is very sad and senseless that he took this woman’s life. I wonder had he been watching her in the club before and knew she took ride shares home. He could have posted up nearby you never know. We have a Black Owned Ride Share company her in Atlanta called HERide, all women drivers, only women passengers. Hopefully they will expand to different cities and states. If you live alone, when you get in the car call someone as if they are at your house and say something like, could you go in the bedroom to see if I plugged out the iron. Sometimes they drop you to the airport and then go back to your house and break in.
Female Uber drivers also need to be alert to their male passengers. I once had to interview a male offender who tried to SA a female Uber driver when they got to his destination.

Also, have the driver say your name. Before I get in an Uber I say “say my name” and I share my ride with my husband and daughter. I was in a very bad car accident, driver hit me from behind and I had a fear of driving. I thank God that I’m still here. Now I’m today retired and my Uber days are behind me. Absolutely terrible. My condolences 🙏 to her family. The woman was working and was just trying to get home. I wonder if he has a record and the driver service didn't do their due diligence or he hadn't been caught before. You can't convince me that this is his first offense or crime against a woman.
This is horrible!!!! This is why we made sure our daughter’s started driving at 15, bc I don’t trust a soul! The 1st & last time I took an Uber, the driver seemed to be high off something or just off and started talking inappropriately, I casually mentioned that I was a police officer (I’m not) and I hope I wasn’t breaking any rules by having my service weapon. He stopped talking after that! By the time I arrived to my destination, my brother’s were already following behind us.
Uber Eats is dangerous also! People that are not actually on the platform are delivering and using others vehicles. Please, please check your accounts passengers. Please make sure this is your driver picking you up and the right license plate and vehicle. I am an Uber driver and I constantly tell these young girls to check my plate and picture. Some of them get an attitude, but I don't care. Safety first!
Uber drivers aren’t dangerous. I’m an Uber driver. They are supposed to do background checks on all drivers. If they didn’t do a background check I hope they follow up legally. I do get complaints from woman about make drivers making them feel uncomfortable. Condolences to the family. They can go thru Uber for the complaints on drivers. They need to assist the family as well. Yes all the personable information is in the app. Oh my God the enemy always shows its ugly face when something is created for good. I was taking a patient on a transportation ride for an appointment and the transportation guy who was Hispanic kept trying to flirt with me even though I told him I was with somebody he insisted.🤦🏽♀️ totally unprofessional and didn’t care
