Just as in the Wheeler case, nothing was done until after the woman had died. The women of Ennis knew nothing would be done about Annie's murder, the deaths of the babies or the contaminated water. So, they took matters into their own hands. -Sending the scientists out on the tundra was a 'Let the Goddess sort them out' moment. I'm not very familiar with the effects of a slab avalanche, but if they simply froze to death, they would not be in positions of motion as they were found. -Man thinks he's in control of everything. Until Mother Nature 'Sedna' proves them otherwise. The scientists were beyond angry to see that their years of work was destroyed, that they would not 'save the world' and receive all the glory for doing so. They did not care that there were already casualties in their wake, so what would another matter? After six years they seemed quite happy in their safe space, going on with their research, watching movies, making photo-worthy sandwiches, until that fateful moment of 'She's Awake' arrived.
I think you may have missed the part where it was said that Danvers and Gravvaro visited the Wheeler place 10 times over domestic abuse. If they could have done something, then why didnt they? Also the Grime mafia ladies, murdered the sceientists, there is no peoetic justification here. They didnt even know if they ALL took part or even if the murder took place at the lab. When the Grime mafia ladies stripped the scientist and sent them running, they claimed they would survive if AnnieK or Mother Nature forgave them....but one of them DID survive....LUND! They very person who started stabbing Annie in the first place!!!!
I was hoping that it actually does have some Native mystery as part of the story. I knew the researchers killed Annie but I did hope there is a supernatural aspect as well. Loved Jodie and Kali's characters, and their on screen chemistry was great. Every time Navaro started to talk about anything supernatural Liz's facials were so funny, them two together were just great.
as per my theory on another post, i think they are basically atheists so they do not believe in the supernatural, and through the native women's narrative, all folklore is fake and its just humans doing it all. A way of doing evil, then excusing it as the supernatural. Thanks to human delusion, they attribute it to fantastical supernatural events when its really all humans doing it. God, belief in the supernatural is all bullshit, as our detectives said. Knowing these heathens, thats probably what they were trying to say.
SpongeBob toothbrush was the most interesting character in this series. And how did the toilet women know all the scientist killed what's her name and not just one scientist killed what's her face? And why are all the toilet women in the same house at the end? It's like they all knew we have to be together to hear the "detectives" let us off scot-free. or do they all just work together and live together, that would be weird.
