I still don’t understand what the heck this is trying to say.

​​@@alaskayoung3413 Up to interpretation, I think it's saying that life is a locked room, it's a dream, and that death is the freedom you find. Where you're metaphorically alive in the sense that even though you have died, you're not sure, and maybe you will never be sure, if there is more to life than that which occurs before death. Or he could be using dream as a way to signify that all of life, in its end is not significant, that all human emotion doesn't contribute to anything, really. That seems to fit more into the character of Rust.
