Wow! That is super impressive. I never would have known this existed if I hadn't watched this - Thank You! My immediate skepticism was for gaming use-cases, but that low latency is awesome. Great video!
I’m a fan of wireless solutions, but I also don’t want to be swimming in “wi-if soup” especially when living in an apartment with like 100 wireless signals and frequencies. A combination of wireless and data over power lines I reckon is the best combination as this covers each other’s strengths, weaknesses and still reduces cable clutter.
Easy fix for that... Don't broadcast your WiFi... Turn that shit off... Just lookup your Router settings. There is an option to stop it...That way only you know it exist. It's totally invisible.. it also increases your speeds...As the router is not having to broadcast constantly...
Is it possible to use it strictly for a desktop pc? Only to eliminate the use of cable cords from the pc to the monitors? Or does this only have to be used to transmit a screen from one device to another?
Hey Patrick, can you make a video on how you store / organise your cables at home? Here this is a complete mess in a mixed Samsung/ Apple household with USB C / Mini / Lightning / Samsung Watch Dock etc.
Great review! Question: Have you tried it with a camera to transmit into your Atem Mini? I'm looking for a cheaper alternative to the Hollyland line of products.
I wonder why no one uses these to have an hdmi 1080 signal from the camera for live streaming or wireless monitoring to pull focus for example. Does someone tryed them?
Awesome! I’ve been looking for a non-WiFi solution like this. Tired of cables everywhere and needing to get cable boxes for areas I want a TV. Will try one then go from there. 👍🏾
I'd like to get rid of ALL HDMI cables on the planet. They are the bane of my life. I love how we live in an age where you can't send 4k60hz over more than 2 meters, so your PC needs to be next to your TV. I'm sorry but I'm not spending £100 on this tech which will require ANOTHER power socket and may stop working after 2 days like all the other HDMI splitters/cables on Amazon. So sick of this problem. It seems I just can't have a stable connection from my RTX3070 to my 4k TV unless I pay mega bucks, and even then it's not guaranteed.
Hello, I also have a projector but not a clear line of sight since all of my equipment is on the right side of the room. Do you think this will affect anything?
I know this is probably a long shot asking this here But say if I use this to display my phones display on my laptop . In order to record/stream it through the OBS software . Will it (obs) record internal audio ?
a question i hope you answer it since its already old video did it work with phone that not support mhl output to use it with usb c ? how about latency in gaming ? and how bad it is ?
Is it possible that I connect it to my monitor Hdmi port and also my desktop hdmi port and don’t use hdmi cable.. will it work.. can I put my desktop in one room and monitor in another room … will it work then
Question. Let’s say you have several devices that operate with HDMI and you want them to be viewed on one specific TV does that mean I need to get five separate transmitters and will they all operate on the same receiver if so how would I switch between one and another I’m trying to connect multiple gaming systems
You know what I like about this ?? . It feels like how AirPods feels. That wireless distance is dam good. I don’t know how many TWS do well far of Smartphones…
I am going to start sending you a bill for all of these videos. It is costing me a lot of money to watch them. I like to use the TV in the hotels as a monitor when I have a lot of spreadsheets or working with multiple window open on my computer. We now just need Apple to get full monitor support on the iPads. I could start traveling without my computer. Do you know how fast a power pack would last using this device? Does it use a lot of power consumption? If a person used the tinyRigs oriGrid on the back of the iPad and strapped a power pack to the back would be a way to stream from anywhere in a hotel room to the TV to make it even more portable. Requiring an external power source is my hang up on this device.
Hi Steve! I agree, the usb power supply can be a little annoying. I haven't tried using it for more than an hour or two but that barely took any juice out of my powerbank :)
@@PatrickRambles is there anything out there that might be able to let me do that the walls aren’t super thick and it would right against the wall from each other.
Makes sense...Even if you want it for stationary PC\Monitor use...As you don't have to drill any holes. To hide the HDMI cable..Paired with new Bluetooth standards...You can cut the cord to speakers and other devices... Without sacrificing speed or slower data transfers...
The connection devices, dongles, etc…seem like they would be a bit annoying & look a bit cluttered hanging off your laptop. If my laptop is fairly close to my external monitor, I may just stick with a single HDMI cable & simply hide the wire connection.
Sure, if you're close to your monitor, there isn't much of a point to this device. It's meant to be used when your device isn't close to your monitor/TV/projector and you'd have to run very long cables. What I like about it is that you can leave the receiver connected and just plug the transmitter into whatever device you want to use.
Great video, too expensive for what it does. I love cables; it reminds me of my days connecting a dozen pedals on my guitar to get that shoegazing sound. If you have a smart TV, why do you need this? Connecting an iPad into an external monitor does not make much sense to me. What for? To duplicate the screen? No matter how expensive they are, TV screens are for a TV, not for working on Word documents; the text does not look right. If you are doing graphics in Photoshop or Illustrator, a TV won't be a good choice. Get a proper 4K monitor, a bit expensive but worthy
AAAAAhhhhhh…..as we used to say in Law School after having wasted time trying to figure out the intent of a law,, and were looking for it in every place EXCEPT the actual statutory language, Finally it would dawn on us to READ THE STATUTE…READ THE STATUTE…..READ THE STATUTE……….😵💫😵💫🤔🙄🙄🤭🤭. /….Ergo, henceforth I will READ THE DESCRIPTION…READ THE DESCRIPTION …READ THE DESCRIPTION…… '🤓🤓😁
Yes. Work without an internet connection, mirror the screen of any device without latency. With Apple TV and Chromecast, you do need an internet connection and you can stream only certain things. In other words, this device is more versatile. You should really view it as an invisible hdmi cable.
@@PatrickRambles Thanks for the responses, Patrick. BTW, really good video production you have going on and your ability to speak fluidly. Thanks again Mitch
This may be a dumb question, but I haven't seen it answered here. Can you plug this into a smart tv and connect it to another smart tv so they are playing the same thing at the same time?
That's the thing about this cable. There is no visible lag. Linus Tech Tips did a video on this cable as well, with some pc gaming tests. You should check that out.
