A walk in the forests above Bellagio in search of native truffles and mushrooms.
The day begins at 10am at the Salice Blu Restaurant, where you will enjoy a quick coffee before meeting Chef Luigi at the starting point of the walk. You will also be accompanied by truffle experts and truffle dogs.
The walk takes place in forests of hornbeam, chestnut and oak owned by the Gandola family, in a tranquil area with a view over the extraordinary lake. After the picking, you return to the kitchen where you will learn some techniques for using and preserving the mushrooms and truffles and you will enjoy a well-earned lunch. The experience ends at around 3pm.
The safety of what is found and collected is the first thing: chef Luigi and his collaborators have obtained the qualification and are in possession of the license of “truffle researcher of the Lombardy Region” and connoisseur of local edible mushrooms. (L.752 / 1985 - L.R. 31/2008)
Una passeggiata nei boschi sopra Bellagio alla ricerca di funghi
e tartufi autoctoni
La giornata inizia alle ore 10 dal centro di Bellagio e subito pronti per recarsi insieme a chef Luigi al punto di inizio della passeggiata. Sarete in compagnia anche di esperti tartufai e di cani da tartufo.
La passeggiata avviene nei boschi di carpano, castagno e quercia di proprietà della famiglia Gandola, in una zona tranquilla con una vista sul lago straordinaria. Dopo la raccolta, si brinda con un goccio di vino e si ritorna in cucina per conoscere tecniche di lavorazione e conservazione dei funghi e dei tartufi e per gustare un meritato pranzo. Il termine dell’esperienza è intorno alle ore 15.

La sicurezza di ciò che si trova e si raccoglie è la prima cosa: chef Luigi e i suoi collaboratori hanno conseguito l’abilitazione e sono in possesso del patentino di “ricercatore di tartufi della Regione Lombardia” e conoscitore dei funghi locali commestibili. (L.752/1985 - L.R. 31/2008)
