This is such a great stride! I truly believe this is the step of the future. I hope society can integrate this soon as possible!

That's a great proof of concept. Someone already has developed a method of converting plastic waste from conventional plastics back into crude oil which can be stored for many many years or converted into diesel, gasoline, or other plastics again.

My question is: biodegraded to what degree, micro-plastic?! Very curious!

Neat, keep up the good work! How scalable is this? Is the degraded residue safe to be reintroduced to the environment, say in compost?

I live in Philippines where this type plastic need legislation to force manufacturing to implement. Everything from soap, toothpaste, candy, chips gets sold by the metric ton in millions of sachets everyday to the common people who have NO idea what to do with once used. They will eventually pollute every square mile of ocean, roadside , and wilderness or poisoning the very air in trash fires for generations to come with no respite in sight. Without legislation it will never become status quo. Please pass laws and start the clean up.

You say it breaks down in water, and then it can be collected and made into new plastic. What is this new plastic? This just sounds like recycling plastic, which they already do, but the recycled plastic is degraded and can only be recycled so many times before it has to be thrown away. Is your new plastic any different? Do the enzymes really need to be added to the plastic when you make it? Why not just put them in the water when it's time to break it down? Can this be done with other plastics?

I just curious how many enzymes we need to produce for this purpose... Economically and environmentally i cant help myself from curious how this can work in the future.

can you store moist contents inside the bag or would that cause it to break down?

Look at the no. of views this video has. The average Joe or Jane is more interested in drinking soda and chips from plastic containers while watching some dumb ads promoting more plastic on the idiot box. Talk about human beings as the most intelligent species (a joke) on this planet.
