I purchased the 2016 version of this bike. It has been a very reliable ride for the past few years. I live in Winnipeg, Canada and use it year round. I did upgrade to better tires (especially for winter riding and tree roots) a couple of years ago though the tires on this 2021 model look knobbier than the ones I got back in 2016. You're not going to be riding down mountains or doing big jumps on this bike but it can handle lots of different off-road terrain. The nice thing about these 29ers is they work well off road and also have speed on pavement. The large tire circumference means (with effort) you can keep up with and overtake people on road bikes and fixies. A great choice if you're looking for a bike that can handle a wide variety of terrain but can't afford something super expensive.
Just bought my 2021 Fuji Nevada 1.7 SRAM in a 27.5”, took it out on a local trail and it was very impressive. I’ll be swapping out the fork to a fox32 can’t wait. Awesome product!
Dear Fuji, I have a 2003 discovery 1 bike, it survived so much. My dad bought that bike and drove it for 15 years and have iz to me. Today in 2022 it still works like a baby. It works like it's New. I love how I'm so fast on it. I'm still the fastest in my town. I don't know how you make so good bikes. It's 19 years old and still so good and fast. Thank you for making so good bikes.
I'm looking at this bike for a daily commuter on a budget. The city I live in has ridiculous potholes on many streets and I'm looking for a bike to handle those with aplomb. The Fuji Nevada is in the lead against Trek Marlin and Giant Talon mainly because of gearing-I like to have extra gears on flat pieces of terrain.
I race my nevada 1.7 on a black XC track daily and love it more than some expensive bikes. It's a shame the headset is not more modern so upgrading forks (axon, epicon, etc.) was a bit difficult. Adding a 1x Drive train and a dropper post was super easy and it transformed this amazing frame into a durable, capable and light hardtail monster.
Just bought another, this one is for my wife. We now have three bikes based off this video review. Thanks JamesTheBikeGuy would not have even looked at these without this excellent video review!!!
I've got a Fuji with 26 inch wheels that's about 20 years old and it's still kick ass. Don't know the model of it though cuz I found it on the side of the road and it must have been stolen before because someone spray-painted it.

I had a Cannondale Trail 6 on layaway, and the store called me and told me they got this bike in. They said it was comparable or even better in some cases (locking forks, extra gear). I test rode this and enjoyed it. I haven't tried the Trail 6, but I transferred my layaway to this bike. Did I make the right decision or is the Trail 6 the better bike?

It's seems the bicycle industry is doing like the car industry. All the bikes are all starting to favor one another. Other then the components you could easily put the trek, specialized, giant, etc name on that bike and wouldn't know the difference. All that been said still a nice entry bike.
True, but I will say that rode bike are getting a little more out there with their frame designs. Using different angles and sorts. So i guess its truly about he consumers and what sales. Once people's start buying that style of bikes then other companies will copy with their own spin to grab the markets...

This or the Diamondback Hatch 2/3? Only bikes I can find in stock so looking at them.. The Diamondback seems to use more Shimano parts but I'm new to this so not sure which to pick..
Been really interested in this bike (as a first MB for myself) but as an entry level bike it's priced at £650 here in UK (approx $900) feels a bit expensive compared to others which are spec'd to a similar standard.
I'm not familiar with droppers, but there are two "ports" on each side of th frame near the front for internal cable, but only three are occupied, so probably?
Might be too late of a response but I have a 2021 Nevada 1.5 and I was able to run internal dropper post. It was a pain running the cable sleeve but it was doable with some patience and a few choice curse words.
Have you a review about the fudji adventure 27.5 i cant find the nevada in quebec canada..the adventure is 539$ so i guess the nevada is way more expensive
69.5??? Schwinn is making Slacker Hardtails for cheaper with a Tapered headtube and a 1x WITH a clutch. This, in my opinion, is not worth the money they are asking for this. Also a 30mm fork on a 29er is quite small in todays standards. Thanks for the review, never the less.
Just got one for my dad today, all I can say is that the front mech (microSHIFT) combined with the prowheel's crankset feels and looks pretty crappy even for an entry level bike. Just my $0.02 cents...
I had the Trek Marlin before replacing it with this. This bike feels lighter and performs better in my opinion. Definitely worth taking a look at if your in the market for an entry level bike.
