I have to admit that I am at a loss when it comes down to the immediate handwringing you boys experience whenever your targets get nicked. Unless y’all can extract things in a foolproof manner without using metallic tools, why beat yourselves up? Holy crap, that’s a freakin’ GOLDEN LOUIS XV COIN!!! Minted the year before his death! Not to mention that it’s been less than a foot from the surface in a corn 🌽 field for 246 YEARS. Second~ we are very fortunate to live in America. We are equally as fortunate to have had the French as allies when we were struggling against the English to gain our freedom. In fact, we patterned our form of Democracy after France’s. I’m not saying that there hasn’t been times since then when our relationship has been strained, nor am I saying either country is perfect. it really is amazing. ive been detecting for 30 years, more or or less, and still havent dug a gold coin. and for his first gold coins to both be colonial era, that truly is remarkable

I cant imagine the thousands of hrs you've spent editing but thank you for it. Getting to see George Washington buttons, hammered silvers, 1877 indians, chain cents and gold coins dug has been amazing. Not to mention the Rev war, Civil war and Arrow head history we've seen. Huge congrats to B-Rad for doubling up on the Gold Coin Club! The fact is that unfortunately accidentally damaging coins is a constant danger of our hobby. I myself scratched a 1892 Barber dime this year. But we can't beat ourselves up about it; accidents can happen no matter how careful we are. In any case, the history is now rescued from the ground where it can be appreciated, and I think that's the main thing. Please keep up the great work making these great videos and thanks as always for including us in your adventures!

I sent in my first silver quarter find, a 1942 Washington and Sully made it into the AT Pro coil. I wear it almost every day. It’s bad ass!!! I did find an actual silver necklace for it that I liked better than the one it came with. I highly recommend Sully!
Nice 👍 Gold Coin fined. Yes accidents happen but it’s still a nice piece of history. Tell Brad don’t feel bad my wife lost a Cart and a half VS1 engagement stone valued at $10,000 and I had zero insurance. Yes I bought her a new stone replacement. Awesome job Brad. i have not joined the metal detecting community yet, but working a cash register in the last year I have found a 1900 "V" nickel, and 3 weeks ago i got a liberty-cap 1832 dime (in a penny roll). I always think of the joy of the discovery you must feel when you work so hard, and are rewarded with such an amazing find. Keep up the good work.

Disappearing signals are the worst. I've got frustrated enough that I just filled the hole in and walked away. Not good to do but better than wrapping my machine around a tree. And nice find Brad. You barely touched it, it still looks good. And your half dime too Kurt. Nice find.
