If any other human on the planet was caught with those empty folders, they would be in Guantanamo until every last document was recovered.

If any regular citizen didn’t pay their taxes, had stolen top secret files, and acted the way he has- would be in prison for the rest of their lives. What a great precedent we’re setting.

So how do we get a "special master" to judge that judge? It's endless the sad state of the legal "system"

Trevor is honestly one of the highlights of humanity. He's funny and all that but then he's also open minded and considerate in a time when it's so hard to be that (at least for me). Well quite a few attorneys and retired judges out there say that they believe this will be overturned. There is no need for a special master when the documents are already marked as confidential, classified, highly classified. He took them after he was no longer president therefore he has no right to those documents. They belong to the United States. Not to an individual! This is crazy… it needs to be overturned!

Special masters are generally used in civil cases to conduct proceedings and report back to the court. And they are generally retired judges and the like. The problem here is that they will need to be read in to review some of these highly classified documents. And that will take some time. Also, both parties have to agree on the person to be appointed. That may be challenging here.

The biggest joke about the Special Master is that they would need the highest security clearance level in the country and would have to personally be granted that by both the sitting President of the United States and an independent Congressional community, along with the National Security Agency, regarding Nuclear secrets. Moreover, all executive privilege Trump claimed no longer exists by virtue of him not being President, and there are no executive orders from his time as President declassifying these documents. Additionally, attorney-client privilege only applies to the property of either the attorney or the client. By law, nothing labeled by the US Government, which is more or less everything they took, is property of Trump and thus cannot be covered. Basically, the judge asked the Justice Department to pick a person to go over one or two documents and say, "yup, this should be investigated."

Things that I learned during the Trump administration: "Impeachment" and "removal from office" are two separate things. Faithless electors are somehow a thing that exists. Special masters are also a thing that apparently exists.

A special master is not unheard of in criminal cases especially involving high profile people, I honestly see nothing untoward about this, unless they appoint someone shady, then we call complain.

The thing is Tolkien's writings did not exclude darker skinned/tan skinned characters. They existed throughout middle-earth but not as elves. The thing is Tolkien was very specific in his writings about different races of middle earth. Elves have very specific characteristics and it isn't just skin color that goes against Tolkien's original description of elves but their hair is also depicted incorrectly in the show as well. Dwarven women have beards and they are not depicted in the show as having them either. So personally, it's not so much a race thing, it's more of a lack of accurate portrayal of Tolkien's written word. Do I believe these inaccuracies take away from the show or the retelling of Tolkien's work? Nah. Just glad we're finally getting some LOTR content, finally! The thing is we were outraged when Scarlett Johansson played Motoko Kusanagi in Ghost In The Shell and rightly so; whereas the general public defends the incorrect portrayal of Tolkien's literature in The Rings of Power. Why are both not met with the same hostility when they are both, in essence, the same thing?
