I agree. I was just telling someone how the show itself has always been light-hearted and has always been positive. Its comedy rather than serious heavy topics of discussion and honestly it's great that he didn't mention it and besides it's also the writers and the producers as well. He doesn't really have much control on what to say and not to say. He basically just repeats what's in the script and i guesd none of them wanted to mention what happened. Because they probably thoight that that topic would've been way too heavy to discuss. So it was best to ignore it!

He never said Trump’s name or stated any opinions. He just acknowledged it and moved on to talk about the weekend box office numbers. Jimmy could have done the exact same thing.
