At least for a leader or a person of influence(then if its a teacher or content creator or a rich person or someone in government). Those in the position can always fact check when writing speeches and content creators/influencers/famous people should learn to think before they speak. At least the media outlet that then shows what they say should be forced to fact check. Not that hard to place a big "false information" stamp over the video so that no one can miss it. I can't still let go of the time when a 35 year old woman(from Finland) and a 50 year old woman(from Sweden) tried to convice me that 90% of all men a rapists. I argued the fact with them for hours and even pointed at other men in the pub "So he is one then?" and they said no in some cases and yes in others but they only picked like 30% still. Still it never hit them that they themselves excluded most men from being one but still stayed true to the 90% fact they had heard. It was a fact they had learned probably on the internet or from something like TikTok. I know its not that of a big deal but when simple things like this goes wrong that people themselves should realise is false. Its like someone believing that an apple wont fall from the tree if not disturb by something, then they sit and watch the tree and when the apple falls they come up with excuses why it fell instead of accepting the reality that apples do fall from the tree without something disturbing it.
I don’t think the US press, on average, is good enough, fair enough, or trusted enough to get this out to enough of the public. Also, I don’t trust enough of the US voters to figure it out by themself.
It never ceases to amaze me how "low info" many people are when they still for some reason get all riled up about politics but most of what they say is just parroted lies.

In one ear, out the other. No damage done. It made me have an epiphany though. I could never understand why trump is so popular over in America. Now that more info is coming out about the shooter I realized things America is famous for are bullying, a love for guns and school shootings. These are all things that trump stands for. Yet to me this was another sad event that doesn't make America great but could have been prevented if there were better gun laws and bullying was less prevalent. No isolated incident is correct.

(there is a better descriptive word than 'hearing distance', but it wouldn't be decent of me to use) Even the vocalisation of fine could be misconstrued as fight, especially if the person speaking is being manhandled by secret service agents, and everyone nearby is scared, shouting, screaming, distracted and looking for the shooter and avenues of safe escape. This is one time that I'd be highly doubtful that someone could hear one person's exclamation, however loud they were, amongst such a maelstrom of fear. Tis a shame he had the emblem of Demolition Ranch on his shirt, Matt's channel has always been the fun gun channel, it's also a hugely successful channel with 11m subscribers (me one), they're already trying to label Demo Ranch and point fingers his way, his channel has never mentioned any political leanings, and would never advocate for anything of the sort, it sucks for Matt's channel to be painted with a broad brush in such a way. I kind of agree with the bullied kid taking the opportunity to go out in a "big way".

Well, there is a small difference between projection and factual opinion. We often see the maga crowd either parrot pootin-propaganda or outright lies. And yes, they get an awful lot of coverage. Is it because they love shouting it into the camera so much? Or because they feel angered by the Big Lie and want to be heard? Or do they want to show their love for their leader? I don't know. If you analyse what they're saying though, you will more often than not see projection. Essentially people being afraid of their own shadow, projecting it upon others. Now, if you turn to facts, drumpf has proven to be an insurrectionist, he is a conviced felan and a proven rapist, he incites violence and he seems to dwell in cruelty to others. He also makes constant remarks for his program in the context of an autocratic ruler. With the latest showing the court rulings, willing to give 'the next prez' unlimited power and Project 2025 being the perfect playbook for an autocratic state with all power concentrated in the position of president. In essence a religious state under 1-man rule. And that's incredibly dangerous. So, yes, fascism is certainly applicable. This is the very definition of it. Not from the 1930s, but from the 2020s. So, fascism reinvented.

I had this happen a few days ago, took me 8 attempts to post something and having to re-write it every time trying other words & sentence structures a major PITA to be sure 😓 Also it seems that once you've triggered the YT filter, you're extra likely to get hit again until it's had some time(hours) to cool down and/or you've engaged/commented elsewhere successfully.

Hi Jonny. I’ve followed your channel since its inception almost, and I greatly appreciate the work that you do. However…. Of late, perhaps in the last few months, your channel has become less and less objective reporting and more and more anti Trump rhetoric. I feel like you can sometimes confuse reporting and analysis with personal opinion and political bias. I’m no Trump fan by any means, I can’t stand the man, but I’m kinda tired of watching and hearing Trump Trump Trump. If you prefer political commentary or political posturing then please by all means do that perhaps on a channel specifically for that purpose, however I don’t believe that it benefits ukraine in any way to subject your followers to daily political rants. It’s not what I am interested in hearing. There are other channels run by Americans who actually have skin in the Game in US politics who stay away from politics for the most part and stick to facts about the conflict. I could simply stop watching your channel, and perhaps that’s what I will do if I feel the same way in a few days. I just felt that in deference to everything you have done to date and given that I am British, I would make my feelings public and allow you to either ignore or react accordingly rather than just unfollow. You really do good detailed work when you put you mind to it. If I were to advise you, I would say create a new Channel for your more politically minded followers so that the more conservative minded amongst us don’t feel brow beaten, which I’m sorry to say I increasingly feel as the American election comes closer to
To be perfectly honest this video was a specific video about Trump. It wasn't headlined as a video about the Ukraine war or about anything else. It was an analysis about rhetorical hypocrisy as titled. And given the clear labeling, it is strange when people complain about the content for starting no one is obligated to watch every single video I do.

But Jonathan, as the US election gets closer the political opinion is getting more and more prevelant in a lot of your content and now when I get a notification I find myself saying internally I hope he doesnt “go off on one” as we Brits say. Now again I will say that if you want to do that then fair play to you, have at it, you are clearly a very passionate left leaning guy, but surely separating that in a specific channel FOR politics is the way to do it rather than potentially alienating a following that you worked so hard to build. Look I’m not complaining or criticising, I’m pointing out a definite change in the feel and general timbre of your content. If it’s intentional that’s fine, I have the choice not to watch and can exercise that choice but I respected you and your work enough to make my feelings and the observed change known to you. Your choice now is whether to take it on board or ignore it. Personally, I leave internal American politics in its minutiae to those who have a say in it. A very distant overview once a month is plenty for the sane. I think most Europeans would feel the same way. Anyhow I’ve said what I felt needed saying. I’ll stick around and see how it goes.
