My mom was the queen of Christmas because she made it special for all of us kids every year no matter what.

I dont 100 percent blame the cdc. It was trump and republicans were countering every single guideline they proposed. They had no choice but to try to make their guidelines more reasonable otherwise no one would follow them. They even said as much. If trump had got behind them i think their guidelines would have been more clear.

That said, I will vote FOR any person who has the GREATEST CHANCE of defeating that candidate. This is an all out battle at the ballot box for our country in its existential threat from autocratic rule by insane people with zero heart and soul. I recommend you do the same. We can "prioritize" on policy specifics later, but this VOTE must be VERY TARGETED all the way down to the municipal level. Every vote I make will ONLY hinge on whether they denounce the Trump movement or not; otherwise, there will be more undermining of democracy. I believe the CDC failed to uphold its customary high standards because it allowed its agents to become part of the court of public opinion, and got entangled in politics, rather than following scientific-based, standardized principles. In other words, they allowed themselves to become politicized… so with the next epidemic and pandemic, stand firm to your scientific approach and protocols and ignore the politics. You are the professionals - act like it!
