To be fair, the scope of 'tyrannical' is a bit vague. I honestly think you can look at any government on this planet, and conclude that from the point of view from the top and their inner circle, their actions are not only justifiable, but necessary. Whatever their subjects think, they will feel like they don't have a choice to lead any other way. When a majority of citizens disagree, we might view the nation as a dictatorship. In the case of the US, it's not a clear majority... yet. What I'm trying to say is: "stop what you are doing but you don't like it" is not as far from reality as you hope it is. It's all about interests and gaining and defending them. On a side note, I would be quite interested to hear what Trump has actually done for his supporters' interests -- other than making it OK to be a bigot.

The longer the transition is delayed, the less prepared the next administration (and our country) will be to defend the public against any terrorist attacks, dealing with organizing mass vaccinations, etc. The current administrator, appointed by Trump, (of the General Services Administration) Emily Murphy refused to write the letter to start the transition. Which means President-Elect Biden isn't getting the briefings that he should. Which in turn means that he can't prep to organize the mass vaccinations that we will need to return to some semblance of normal, or to properly protect our country from an outside attack. (The last time there was a delayed transition, we ended up having the 9/11 attacks. Not a good sign).

It's the March of armed protestors in DC, the claims that he didn't lose the election at all (not just recounts, but consistently claims that he had it stolen from him), the accusations of fraud so poorly constructed that they were laughed out of court, the lack of basic decorum that's been respected for literal centuries. He is the president of the United States. His words, actions, and motivations matter, because they influence millions of people. And we're seeing that influence- armed protests, attempts to kidnap governors, people driving between states to assault polling locations or shoot unarmed protestors, police officials calling for harassment of citizens and literal treason. None of that is okay. And none of it can be dismissed.
