I used to be a Trump supporter, I didn't support everything that he said by any means, I just thought that Hilary was a corporate shill, and Trump, being a millionaire in his own right was probably not owned, I didn't want to vote for Hilary, who I saw as a snake, but after some of the things he's said recently(about Putin), I will never vote for him again. Socialism and semi-fascism by Neo-Libs and Neo-Cons has been the status quo for the better part of a century now. The window is shifting toward populism and anti-establishmentarianism. Cryptocurrency is a microcosm of this, in a financial sense. It may rankle you because you're a boomer who's used to that old world money or because you're a millennial who thinks the boomers screwed them (which is true) and socialism is the answer (which is false)... and you don't have to like it. But you do have to acknowledge that a global; political shift is underway, and that shift is away from leftist authoritarianism and heavy centralization, and more towards populism and decentralization. Trump represents the latter, and the fact that he pisses of the old guard, like you, so much is exactly why he's the perfect candidate to usher forward the new paradigm.

"he runs 1.5 billion people, with an iron fist." it's not the last part of that sentence that curdles my stomach. as an american, it's the first part. trump again stating out loud that in his very sick and dangerous dictatorial mind, a president "runs" the people. no concept of public service, no concept that elections mean they work for us, not the other way around. the disconnect between voters HIRING him and him working for US shows how very little regard he has for free and fair elections, and so for democracy. i do not think he could accurately define democracy or the job of the president if one was pulling his fingernails out one at a time. because the people and the office are meaningless to him. only power and control matters. this is why he will do anything to cheat and scam his way into office again- and god help us if he is installed again, this time with nothing to lose.

The fact that that crowd could cheeer this man who clearly admires dictators and has yet to make a statement that strongly rejects his idol Putin for butchering, slaughtering, bombing, and raping innocents in a country that did nothing to provoke this invasion and instead stand on the side of Ukraine, a democracy, makes me question the morality of these people, the way they feel about humanity, and their binding loyaty to a man who clearly admires rulers who govern with an iron fist. Don’t they realize that they would be treated the same if he was in power, its not just the other side who would have rights taken awaym its everyone.
