Of course there were charges (vs lies that there weren't even charges). I also like the rain analogy re the weight of some of the circumstantial evidence presented, which goes something like this: If you go outside and see that everything's wet, thete ate fresh puddles, and people are walking around wearing wet raincoats, Etc, then you can "infer" beyond a reasonable doubt that it recently rained based on sufficient circumstantial facts.
