My goodness, the fact that anyone would scoff at this VP pick shows hubris. This is the single most calculated pick. This pick will tickle his entire base and for good reason. He compliments everything that Trump lacks. Humble beginnings, likable wife, a real military background unlike the Cheeto that had daddy pull strings. PERIOD! This is the definition of a populist pick. The Democratic Party needs to get their head out of their butts and start going back to what made them good. Be the party of the underdog! The union worker! The single moms! People of all walks of life who have been marginalized at every capacity. The party that won’t stand for corporate greed! Right now our party is starting to look like the establishment party. The party for the out of touch, but highly educated. I’m voting for Biden either way but my hope remains low.

Cenk is not always right, but his predictions about policy have been shockingly accurate and precise over the past 12 years. Politics is no different from any science; models live or die based on the veracity of their predictions. Therefore, Cenk's "model" of how politics works - and Trump's behavior in office - must be pretty accurate. That model is pretty simple: politicians will do what their donors ask in almost all cases. Asking Trump himself, of course, is a pointless exercise. He says whatever he thinks will "win" the moment at the time; the story will shift every time it's told, allowing his defenders to choose whichever version remains most plausible and popular in the end. Again, Trump's words are a _terrible_ predictor for his later actions, which shows that the "model" he presents to you is a sham.

I completely agree with the point Cenk made sarcastically: constant political demonization and fearmongering against somebody absolutely makes you somewhat responsible for violence commited against that person. If somebody shot pelosi, then trump and republicans could definitely be to blame. I obviously don’t think Biden “sent the orders” but the extreme takes and titles given to trump by his campaign could definitely be a factor of blame in this whole situation

The book was flawed have not read it but looks like Vance joined the army or was it the Marines to get a start in life which is one way if you're not that wealthy for upward mobility. Then as a vet. did that play a role in getting into Yale and then on wards as a VC etc etc. But bad social policies or safety nets or lack of played a role in the gutting of rust belt America as jobs left for China and other places like Mexico etc

The Democrats and media only wanted to prosecute the Jan 6 capitol riot because that was a glaring, obvious travesty, whereas _the real coup plot was nuanced._ It was a complicated scheme to have Trump stooges impersonate electors in the electoral college, a fraud that would have kept Trump in office if Pence had accepted the premise that the election was not legitimately settled. There was never a chance that the riot alone would keep Trump in office. TYT viewers know and understand _how_ Trump threatened democracy that day, and if there was any reason to believe that Trump wouldn't try something like that or something equally destructive if he regained power, we would know that, too. More generally, TYT viewers are aware of all of the negatives in both parties. Half of the comments on RU-vid complain that TYT is unfair to Biden and they must be pro-Trump. The other half are like yourself, claiming they are unfair to Trump and must be shills for the Democrats. When the people in _both_ bubbles hate you, you know you're doing real journalism. There's no equivalently nuanced source on the right, mostly because they don't have any honest ground to stand on, and that's why people like you never hear anything that challenges dear leader.
