I would absolutely adore a Presidents rank the Dragon Age Trilogy missions series. Perhaps, for the sake of dealing with the massive amount of side quests efficiently, a separate video for just the side quests of each game should be done instead of intertwining them with the regular main story missions?
Few things: -I believe if Wrex is dead, James will be the one to save Shepard during Citadel. -Between Leviathan and the Ardak-Yashi Monastery mission, there were employees who knew how horror works in space. Those people need raises and better jobs. -Citadel also is basically, as someone else said, a Shepard loyalty mission. All the squadmates that can show up, do so and stay by Shepard side to the end. Showing truly why the clone could never win. And in a way mirrors the players. The clone is that player that jumped into ME3 with all the payed DLC and thought they were Shepard. The real Shepard and player is the one who trudged through ME1 to 3 doing the fetch quests and the hours of dialogue. Shepard isn't the guns and armor but the feelings you forged learning about the ME universe. -If you did the Leviathan mission before The Citadel, you can hear the husk head you took from Bryson's lab underneath the Hamster cage in the pile set for garbage screaming the whole time. -One of the key things that pissed off many people, me included, was how it is never stated or addressed what happened to everyone aboard the Citadel before its captured. Did everyone evacuate? Are they all dead? No one knows. Not even a slide picture to say.
Speaking about your last point. I think that there is a fight at the citadel during priority earth. It's a massive station, and we see only few rooms during the ending. There is a lot of bodies there, but that couldn't be everyone on the citadel.
@@labadaba1147 We also know that the Reapers were taking people from Earth up to the Citadel to be processed. And by the look of the piles, we only see human bodies.
I think Javik choosing to end himself after the reaper war is the best ending for him. His entire species and all their history and culture is gone, all his friends are dead, and now the war is over. His entire character was meant to be “this is you if you fail” and it was written perfectly. Rather than help Liara write a book and destroy the romanticized image of his people, he lets the memory be and chooses to join his people, crew, and friends. As for the Illusive Man: the correct ending is renegade so after you shoot him he’ll bleed out and now free from indoctrination he’ll give you a small glimpse into who he truly was.
This might get buried in other comments, but I wanna thank you for making these videos. I lost my dad at the beginning of June and I've been listening to these to help me get through work or any other rough spots in my day. I've probably watched the character and mission rankings over 30 times up until the most recent video. Thanks again. Have a wonderful day/night and tell your loved ones that you love them.
I've heard that Maya is also the one responsible for the mechs going nuts in the beginning of ME2. Kinda makes sense if that's when she left as that would also be where Shepard's clone was. Plus while it's said that Wilson is the one responsible for the mechs, Maya being the one to kick it off makes it makes sense as to why Wilson doesn't have full control over them. I like the joke about Trump leaving more than 7 zettabytes of porn in the White House but just for reference, 7 zettabytes is 7 TRILLION (7,000,000,000,000) gigabytes, or about 79,455,164,585.7 copies of Legendary Edition lol
Having the voices of 3 USA presidents roast Kai 'Needs a body pillow' Lang for 4 consecutive minutes is a highlight of this game that I would not have ever predicted a decade ago.
I'll admit it was one of the possibilities I thought about, but the way you handled the ending was very well done, made me feel surprised and not at the same time. It feels like yesterday when bernie was still around ranking the missions. Entertaining to the end, Thank you for these wonderful tier lists.
My only regret is that the mod that changes things slightly so you see Shepherd placing Anderson's name on the memorial wall wasn't taken by Bioware and added to the console versions of the game. But, that's where my head cannon is. It remains to be seen how the next game will pick up.
I really enjoyed this series! Very original with the AI voices. I cant help but feel the powers that be will eventually ban their use for legal reasons, so enjoy it while we can. I really had hope that our next series wouldve been the Dragon Age: Orgins. Sad to hear it didnt get a good reception. I loved that game & the human noble route was my favorite. ❤
This was a banger of a series to watch. I really, really enjoyed the way how you ranked the missions. I might disagree with the ratings themselves, but listening to someone talk about ME in such objective and entertaining way was very enjoyable. Thank you so much bud.
Same, the thing I like is that every president presents a valid opinion. There's no objective best or worst, but all the takes here have merit. Biden is often portrayed as the idiot but he is right on a lot of his takes for example. Nobody has an opinion that is crazy for the sake of crazy Honestly this whole series made me reexamine if Garrus actually was a good character or not, they make valid points about him just kinda being a yes man
The whole idea behind these videos is so ridiculous, and to add on to that Im not even American. Yet it’s so entertaining and the actual criticisms are great lmao. Props to the script writing for the banter between em. You deserve so many more subs 👍
I still prefer to think of the final mission a two parter. One for the actual mission up to firing the missiles at the Reaper, and then the running/walking simulator that is the ending. Course I only say that to justify how much I like Priority Earth's setting, its got the best tone for everything that's led up to this. London is a hellscape, survivors are screaming and crying over the radio, any and all armed forces are getting overwhelmed, and as much as I'd like to argue how the final gauntlet basically just turns into waves upon waves of enemies that pretty much bogs down into just running away from multiple Banshees, I also look at that like _"Yeah... That Reaper clearly sees Shepard down there and what he's doing, why wouldn't all forces be converging on him. This isn't meant to be taken lightly at all!"_ But what sells it is how much worry and desperation is in the voice of Shepard and the squadmates. Not even the Suicide mission had them sound like they're living their final minutes at this very moment. In level layout and gameplay, I like Priority Earth more than the Citadel and Suicide Mission. Maybe its because ME3 had more of a combat focus so it just feels better to play and makes it more intense to survive it... But yeah, writing-wise, structurally, the other two finales are still better. And that's just further aided by how Earth continues into the ending, errggh.
@matthewmacrow4838 eh, it was rushed and underwhelming, too generic. Actually Andromeda had a decent finale for how meh the overall game was. The ending by itself of Andromeda > ME3
@Captain_Insano_nomercy give me a break, that ending was so mid that I completely forgot about it already. Everything (except Drack and Vetra) is so forgettable in that game.
Thank you Prime for this awesome series, also loved that roast you and the presidents gave Leng! Here's to seeing an updated list when ME4 releases, looking forward to your future content!
Fun fact about krogans, their hunchback is filled with rations to survive famine or something like that. It is also status symbol among the krogans. So yes, Wrex has gained weight.
Wow. Thank you for this. This taught me a lesson on the advantages and disadvantages of using AI in entertainment. This sounded like the presidents that you were using but you still had to write the script, no? and I think we need to remember that we still need human writers at the helm of it. Now, move on to having the president's rank the Dragon Age missions from Origins to Inquisition! Maybe have Barack, Clinton and one of the Bush Presidents?
I gotta say, on my first complete play through of this with Anderson, it broke my heart. After all that, Shepard cant do anything but watch their commanding officer -father figure- and best friend die…. And with barely any time to process it, Hackett calls on them for assistance. Shepard didnt even hesitate to say “what do you need?” They didnt have any time to take a breath or mourn or process anything. Just straight into duty. IDK why, but that hurt my soul more than anything
This was a fun series to watch. The presidents could've discussed the Citadel party briefly though even if it wasn't going to be ranked. Nice touch with the ending, lol.
only good president AI content out there - you create and stick to a personality for each president which really boosts the funny factor. Keeps it from being just topical boomer jokes like "hunter biden laptop" and "Joe Brandon Old". Modernizing their dialogue and having it flow so well makes these supremely watchable. Keep up the great work! I eat this stuff up lol
Thank you for this. I have enjoyed every single mass effect tierlist video. You nailed the dynamic between the characters and it was always extremely entertaining.
32:28 That moment with Liara and that epic music brought the memories and sent chills. I remembered all those feelings... my story Thank you for all you've done.
I really wish that some Rachnai and Levitations had come through the relay too. The relay scene is cathartic. The ending is the ending but seeing everyone show up after you put three games work into rallying the galaxy is S+
Honestly what I hate in final ME3 mission is star child talk, this part completely kills momentum of story, like I still remember playing this part for the first time (before extended cut DLC) being full of adrenaline after talking Ilusive man into offing himself only to not see "final cutscene" and still having about 15 minutes of additional dialogues with that child. "Final mission" should never end with dialogue and lore dump. I will be saying this until I die, ME3 (and overall trilogy) should have the same ending as Dragon Age Origin (first Dragon Age). You defeat final boss, win the war and then get epilogue that allows to interact with companions and important NPC so you could see effects of "personal choices" and then montage of what happened after. For example if you had the same romance option for two or more games then there could be possibility of Shepherd or companion being pregnant (depends of biology) or considering adoption. (in my headcanon that child from prologue would survive)
You put so much effort into this series, it's unbelievable, loved every second of it. It was genuinely fun to watch, unlike other president memes. Sometimes I wish these guys were just youtubers and not shitty politicians lol Thanks Prime, I'll be waiting for new vids!
Fantastic viewing man, I'm gonna miss them talking about ME, it was nice hearing such a balanced retrospective of the series - kept fresh by having 3 different personalities delivering it.
Thank u for doing this. I'm from Argentina, nowhere to be found near US, but the script was perfect. This series have been amazing. Glad I have found this channel. Tx for the amazing content 😊🎉
This has been an amazing series and I have to tell you I'm so grateful because this has been hilarious, informative and absolutely great writing! Thank you!
damn.... that was a whole, jurney....man I am just, in awe.. Bravo This has to be the single most comprehensive, entertaining and deep mass effect ranking, a perfect way to recap the whole story. AI content sometimes tends to be low effort minecraft gameplay in the background ultra short dopamine shots, but this, just amazing, simply amazing. So what's next? Romance ranking, Side mission ranking, planets ranking?
The Omega DLC had all the ingredients to be better than it actually was, which is unfortunate. The Adjutants were actually a conceptually and thematically interesting in that they're the ME universe's equivilent of Zombies and the ambient tension during the sequence that built up to the confrontation with them was well done, but I agree that the rest of the dlc dragged on a bit too much and you couldn't really appreciate the stakes or sacrifices made. I'd probably give it a low B myself. Leviathan is an example of the ambient tension and buildup I liked in the previous short sequence dialed way up and done even better. The story buildup was way more gripping than a single DLC expansion had any right to be and of course the huge lore implications make it a must have for anyone who enjoys exploring the universe beyond the main story. A thrilling and highly entertaining mission. High A or even S tier for me. The Citadel DLC is really difficult to even put on the same list as anything else. I could say any number of things about why the Citadel DLC is Jenkins tier and beyond anything else, but it can be summed up really easily. It's just really fucking fun. It is by far the most fun I've had playing Mass Effect and it remains fun every single time. I'm a big member of the "Citadel DLC is the true ending" club and for good reason. It's the culmination of everything we loved about the trilogy. The Cerberus HQ is interesting. The info terminals are really nice to get more perspective on things we could only infer about previously. But honestly the gameplay wasn't as fun for me. Fighting through all the minions is pretty repetitive at this point and Kai Leng as a boss has been done multiple times already and whenever he's on screen I just want him to be gone. Killing him is pretty satisfying though. I'd say High B tier, but killing Kai Leng can bump it into low A. Honestly Priority Earth felt a little underwhelming and disappointing for me. The Final 1 on 1 dialogs with all your crew and friends is really nice and touching, but the actual mission itself just felt kind of weak to me. Or at least the earlier parts did. The waves of enemies while defending the gun was final mission worthy and of course the hardest boss during my insanity playthrough; the 1 and only Marauder Shields. I'd agree with the A tier rating. Great video as Always. This series has brought back alot of the old feelings I had for the old trilogy. Looking forward to seeing what's next.

This was one hell of a ride. I am replaying the trilogy right now, and I got a whole new appretiation for the series. Thank you @PrimeRadiancy!
The thing that I dislike about the Leviathan DLC is that the Leviathan created the Reapers as a way of preserving organic life. The problem is that, according to the Catalyst (aka the Star Child), the Reaper Cycle only creates 1 Reaper per cycle, with the Reaper being made from the dominant species in that cycle. There are some problems with that: 1) If the Reapers are made as a way of preserving organic life, wouldn't they make as many Reapers as possible out of the dominant species as possible? Heck, even if they intend to stick to the 1 Reaper per species rule, they could also convert other species to Reapers as well to bolster their numbers. By only limiting it to 1 Reaper and one species, the Reapers make it so that they would have to take no losses in order to increase their numbers. Considering that Sovereign was destroyed in the first game, that effectively makes the current cycle a wash at best, and because more Reapers were annihilated over the course of the third game, the Reapers suffered extremely heavy losses compared to previous Cycles. 2) Because we learn that the Leviathan created the Reapers, this gives us a relatively precise date of the Reapers' creation. Considering that the Reaper Cycle happens every 50,000 years, we can use that number to divide how many years back from the Reapers' creation to get an estimate an upper limit of how many Reapers the galaxy is going up against. This effectively turned the fight against an existential threat into a numbers game; kill at least 2, and (again), the Reapers suffer heavy losses. We could even calculate how many cycles maximum to completely eradicate the Reapers. 3) Not every cycle results in the creation of a Reaper, as we learn in the second game, the Reapers couldn't turn the Protheans into a Reaper, and instead, turned them into the Collectors. This establishes that the actual number of Reapers may actually be drastically lower than we thought, which undermines Sovereign's speech about how the Reapers will "darken the sky" with sheer numbers alone. 4) The Leviathan only had ONE Reaper to deal with. Sure, Harbinger is the biggest Reaper out of all of them, but it was ONLY ONE. Never minding the fact that they could've pulled the literal plug on the Catalyst when it suggested the Reapers as a solution, they shouldn't have had trouble dealing with the ONE REAPER when it inevitably turned against them. Hell, why didn't they have a contingency plan when they knew that the Catalyst and Reapers would go against them? Did the Leviathan's pattern recognition on other species using A.I. not extend to themselves? The lore, I find from the Leviathan DLC, undermines the Reaper threat in my opinion, and it introduced the stupidest God-like creatures I've ever seen in any sort of media. I would've put the Leviathan DLC in a lower tier, like "D" or something. I don't think it deserves "B" tier at all. It doesn't help that one of the collectibles you get out of it for your ship is a severed Husk head. It doesn't present any danger to the Normandy in the overall narrative, but I still don't like the idea of the Reapers using the Husk head as a means of spying on Shepard, no matter how remote the chance it may be. I would've followed Javik's advice and Space the damn thing.
Awesome job. I know writing and doing all those lines is time consuming work. I hope you keep up these type of videos though. Maybe ranking all the side missions in the trilogy? And doing the same stuff for Andromeda (which I actually like)? Maybe rank all the major fan theories for the franchise? And you could use this format for other games too. Dragon Age, Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Deus Ex, etc.
I’m one of the few who seems to really enjoy the Omega DLC. It might be a little long, but It’s my favorite Mass Effect 3 DLC…if you take out the party/hangouts/battle arena parts of the Citadel dlc. Speaking of the Citadel dlc, I always make sure to do the story part of it as soon as possible to get the M-7 Lancer early. That’s my go to gun. Looking forward to what comes next.
Another banger, almost felt like there wasn't as much conflict between the group in the previous couple of episodes but it seems like you brought the conflict back. Probably just a symptom of how many missions there were in the middle of the series. Indoc theory is definitely still the most logical headcanon IMO but I know plenty disagree. Glad you at least acknowledged us lol Great video!
@@highlordlaughterofcanada8685 Bioware actually admitted that it was a great ending and specifically said "we weren't that smart." That's why I said "head canon", learn to read.
KFV- KENTUCKY FRIED VORCHA. But in all seriousness, the ranking of Omega DLC Was way, WAY too Harsh. I like Aria, way more than Jack. Also Nryeen is a pretty decent character. The only thing I agree with is that its too long. It should be like an hour shorter.
That's nuts, Leviathan DLC is at least A tier ... world building at its' finest and kind of creepy, plus you can take the husk head back to your cabin!
They really should have just had it so whichever human companion that died in ME1 became Kai Lang. Just have a cyborgesk version of the survivor and allow you to give a paragon/renegade check each time you meet them, slowly breaking cerberus mind control depending on if you did their loyalty mission ME1, and other factors. Even possibly surviving at the end as said robot version. Or redeeming themselves in some way
@@Ale-dd3ek Shepard dropped from Orbit while being exposed to absolute zero in space. Its not too far fetched to believe they could be turned into a Cyborg by Cerberus after that
The presidents should definitely have a discussion on the Mass Effect Iceberg. From the known lore all the way to the DEEP LORE and weird conspiracy theories.
I like the idea the citadel dlc is in shepherds head when he dies, because you get messages and to hang out with or some connection to every character who could live and who were required to die not to mention that the VI will tell you that purgatory is the afterlife not the bar
"Imagine you go to work one day then randomly wake up 10 years later just to find out the galaxy is at war with a species of hyper advanced versions of Clippy" bro that killed me
It would’ve made way more sense if the Normandy like started blasting harbinger from orbit to distract him while a shuttle was sent to get you. And maybe it only works if you for the thanix canon in ME2 for good measure
I would rank the omega dlc to at least B tier personally. It tied some loose ends of ME3 and gave us both fan service and finally showed us what female turian looks like, which personally I found a huge thing. At the time it felt like females of other races were forbidden to show almost and Turians even had a codex lore thing where it says that females are rarely seen because the males keep them "secure" all the time or something like they're muslims. It has some dumb writing decisions like how Nyreen kills herself, how Aria gets captured or Shepard even bothering to help taking omega at all but it's still fun all around. You could say the same goes for most missions and some dlc in ME 3 like why would Shepard bother to waste time on things not related to the war when everyone could die at any second.
Synthesis ending should've been a LITERAL synthesis of Destroy and Control via Shepard taking control of the Reapers, but maintaining his/her will and conviction to self-destruct all of them. Destroy Reapers while saving Geth, EDI, and other tech beings in Galaxy.
The Catalyst could have easily just had the reapers patrol the galaxy 24/7 and help out whenever a synthetic uprising began. There was no need for harvesting other than to create more reapers and reaper groundforces. In that case, they could have just harvested civilizations that got out of line or were too advanced. Would have been so easy to do. In fact, Shepard (control ending) does basically the same thing just without the harvesting.
