The voter turnout in the USA in 2016 was about 60%. In 2020 it was 66%. If Americans have a collective brain worth spit, the turnout will reach the hoped for target of 70%, or even higher, to ensure that the country doesn't have to suffer another four years of Trump. And, just maybe, those who effectively select presidential candidates in future will ensure that younger, more capable people are found. At almost any other time in history, the present Trump would have been unable to exceed the first rung on the ladder. If he is re-elected in 2024, America has surely lost its way.

I am an independent and voted for Reagan twice, George H.W. Bush twice, Clinton once, George W. twice, Obama once, Romney once, Hillary once and Biden once. I will never vote for Trump because of the threat to democracy. I don't agree with either the republicans or democrats all of the time so I vote for the person I trust the most. Trump cannot be trusted.
