Wouldn't a defendant's dispute of their own attorney's arguments in their defense also have some kind of implication for the trial itself? Unless the person being defended is ruled perhaps not responsible for their own actions, in a child-like manner, I believe there's a term for this. But other than that, we'd have a mentally able defendant sort of implicitly disputing/denying the defense's arguments, which likely were at least a partial basis for the eventual verdict to some degree...

You know, the silly costume and horns is no different than what people do at sports events with face paint, costumes etc. The costume isn't what the media focused on, to as you say, "make him look bad." Rather, the media portrayed him as a violent insurrectionist. David Pakman's video title refers to him as a 'Trump rioter.' Do you think that's a fair characterization of the guy? The security video release to Tucker Carlson showed him being let into the Capitol building and led around peacefully by the police. Yet you guys want to ignore that and stick to the narrative that he committed some terrible violence or vandalism. It seems that the Jan 6 committee withheld the security footage from Chansley's lawyer, which is an unconstitutional and criminal act. Anyone accused of a crime has a legal right to any evidence available for self defense. The prosecutors have no right to withhold that evidence. That's the law, don't you agree?
