Old lady here. Until Trump came into office, I voted by carefully evaluating the issues and the candidates, because everyone involved just had different opinions on how best to run our beautiful democracy. I usually ended up on the Democratic side of things, but sometimes voted Republican or Independent. Now I go down the ballot and vote only for Democratic supported bills and vote, not only for Democratic candidates, but for the Democratic incumbents, because they have the better chance of winning. I HATE having to vote this way, but I hate the alternative much more

It’s really important to clarify that when they reference pornography, they aren’t just talking about the bog standard media normal people think of when we hear that word. It’s much more insidious: they intend to classify the very existence of some groups of people, and what should be entirely normal actions, as “pornographic” and make those people and/or actions illegal and subject to harsh penalties. In particular, they are targeting queer and trans people and quite literally making their existence illegal. (Though make no mistake, they won’t stop there, especially as they go further into theocratic fascism. There are clear indications that the designation will eventually include such things as birth control, abortion, feminism, gender nonconforming dress or appearance, etc.) Anyone still minimizing the reality of this plan really needs to brush up on their history, because *this has happened before*-and people clinging to the same kind of disbelief have paid unthinkably high prices for that reticence. In short: brace yourselves. It’s gonna get bad.

Not a correction, just wanted to point out that dung beetles don’t only eat poop. They push the giant ball of poop they make several miles and use it to attract a mate. They even use the stars to navigate at night while traveling with their giant sexy poop ball! And guess what else! It takes a lot of strength to push that fecal aphrodisiac around, which is why dung beetles are the strongest animal on Earth relative to their size.
