I don’t think Judge Chutkan has to wait 90 days to get these hearings going. Big difference between jury trials and pre-trial evidentiary hearings, the latter still a lot of work but nothing like a jury trial.

Good questions about evidence and the immunity hearing. All the evidence should get in. The defense should be made to prove the act was official. It will be hard to argue acts were official if you don't admit to the acts. Briefs will be a lot of "if he" xyz. But it's a fine line. I hope it backfires.

Almost regardless of how the federal/state issues are legally sorted, the Georgia judiciary will be delighted with the direction of SCOTUS, and it will have the desired influence.

David, I feel exactly like you do. After the Biden 'debacle' (as you aptly named it) debate (p.s. WTH was going on with him that night anyway? Why didn't someone say, "Mr. President, you are not feeling up to snuff, let's just reschedule, this debate is highly crucial!" - I also think we deserve an explanation of what was wrong with him aside from 'a cold', was that some kind of nighttime sinus pill or WTH? Then the next day, he was like 98% better at that rally in NC?? It was like two different guys. I was horrified by his debate performance and have been reeling since. Not to mention how insanely irresponsible CNN was by not fact checking Trump. THEN the EXTREME Court of the United States of Brown Shirts came out with this ruling...just like you said, I felt it wasn't going to be what it should be? But honestly did not think they would go full on, "Yeah Trump is the new Emperor, deal with it..." I hate to ask, "What's next?"

I really don't understand how the doc's case can be dismissed. He was no longer Pres. when he took those documents. He wasn't Pres. when he refused to return them. Admittedly, I am not an expert...

The immunity does cover ALL crimes- this is why Judge Merchan has postponed the sentencing on July 11- trump is appealing the conviction and will try to have certain evidence thrown out that happened while he was president (example: the payments).
