I’m telling you, as an Australian, that Four Corners, the programme that this is from, has been exposing corruption and asking the hard questions, since the sixties. It’s a brilliant show and can always be relied on to get to the truth of whatever issue they are reporting on. We’re very proud of it here.

60 minutes was like that back in the 70s but then the show got popular and people got wary of appearing on it. Since then American TV journalism has since turned a vast televised massage parlor where politicians and the wealthy can get jerked off by "journalists" . "There's no show if we cant get them to come on and be interviewed and they wont agree to come on unless we stroke them off"

@@rplatt9829 Certainly it shows an arrogance of having "conviction" that allows you to state things as if they are fact, with no facts, and have others presume you know what you're talking about, because you'd not say them otherwise. It maybe shows how we all have two minds - one believer mind "assumes things make sense" and actively fits together elements to make a consistent narrative, and the other skeptical mind withholds conclusions, and step by step asks "What do I know? How do I know it?" And keeps asking detailed questions until each claimed fact can be verified, rejected, or set aside as unverifiable. And when you do that, you can quickly catch people in their "belief mind" because their story falls apart, and this feels uncomfortable to them, so they're more likely to go even further off in crazy assertions, after which you can conclude their conclusions are not trustworthy at all.

@@Rhythmattica Yet to my knowledge nobody even tries to investigate SKY News, owned by Murdoch, the Fox equivalent in Australia and Alan Jones also spreading miss-information. yeah, nah let's not worry about the delta strain as the UK shows fewer deaths than the common flu. Of course Alana jones fails to mention the UK's vaccination numbers which are nearing optimal rates, whilst Australia still has a massive shortage of Pfzer which is the only one I can take and can't get. The vaccination rate here is still very low.

In Australia, the ABC always asks questions with follow-ups. They sometimes come across as very hostile, but all they are doing is "digging" which is what they are supposed to do. I cannot for the life of me understand US reporters who do not ask absolute basic follow-ups. Then I watch Fox news and I understand - they don't want to know the real answer...

As an Australian, I can say she didn't do her research on who was going to be interviewing her, the Four Corners program is top-notch when it comes to investigative journalism, they never throw softballs and always have the facts. They've done some brilliant work on Trump before. It just goes to show Sidney Powell's incompetence that she'd even agree to sit down for the interview in the first place as she obviously didn't even bother to Google Four Corners, if she did she'd know she was about to be put under the microscope unlike ever before.

I'd highly recommend watching the episodes of Four Corners on Trump, brilliant journalism. We also have a show called Planet America which is really good and non-partisan, both of these shows are free to watch on RU-vid.

@@LordandGodofRU-vid Thats the problem. In the past the news was the news. And commentary was separate. You had your 2 or 3 news programmes sprinkled through the day. Then 24 hours news channel came in and nobody is going to watch the same news over and over again so the time has to be filled in somehow and its very difficult to maintain quality in that environment. Now we're overloaded.

If I was involved in a major lawsuit, I would not grant any interviews. When you're stupid and say things like "I'm not prepared to accept that fact", you should never grant an interview even if you are not being sued.

Thats because actually being contested on what she claims is new to her because she just expects people to take it at face value and move on. These people are basically the human equivalent of a padded bibliography on a piece of literature drafted around really any topic. You can write a term paper, essay, research study whatever on any topic at all. Lets say, "The Mating Habits of the Nocturnal WangDoodle from Loompa-Land" and while it may be filled with what SEEMS to be facts, figure and important sounding jargon alot of the reference and credibility is borne out from the works referenced by the document and their veracity. As such your bibliographical references better be top notch and above reproach because otherwise you are just speaking out your ass, kinda like this woman does.
