The last thing about illidari studies is that it completely ignores the devaluing of class cards in discover. Because all outcast is DH and contains both minions and spells unlike the spell study

Trump has a good point about the "gross overkill" of Runaway Blackwing. If the card text were changed to "At the end of your turn, cast Greater Arcane Missiles", that would be something. Probably still too weak. I think he's sleeping on Moonfang. Yes, it's true there are removal options, but those would be good removal options for any 5 drop without a deathrattle. Only taking one damage at a time is good against everything but hyper aggro which either ignores Moonfang or trades some tiny dudes in efficiently.

Heres the thing about glacier racer. The card with a frostbolt is 6 damage to any target, including face. I'm not sure how good of a position aggro mage is right now, but it's definitely something to look into.

3:59 Big question for Moonfang in wild, will it be in the DK Rexxar Build a Beast Pool? Imagine combining that with a Stegodon. Even a silverback would be nuts, memes aside, making it an 8 mana 7/7 that cant take more than 1 damage at a time. If it's in the pool, it'll be insane.

I’m calling it now, everyone is underrating Moonfang. I think even at 5 mana it’s sticky enough and has high enough attack to be good in aggro hunter.

Yeah until Moonfang gets absolutely DECIMATED by 3 1/1s.. I think the card is good but I don't see it being a super strong meta contender personally.

I don't think Moonfang will be particularly good in aggro hunter? At most it will probably get in 1 hit before being removed and Stranglethorn tiger is a 5/5 with stealth which I think is harder to remove in most cases... yet it sees no play

@@JoViljarHaugstulen It’s possible it would, but it has more attack which is basically all Aggro Hunter cares about. Stranglethorn Tiger probably only gets one hit off too. Also, Moonfang is going to be the patron of handbuff hunter.

I feel like that's down to how original recent sets have been. Armour and Beast are both archetypes baked into the Classic and Basic sets, so maybe it feels weird compared to Dragons, Deathrattle, Menagerie, Spell etc

I feel like landslide will do a lot more than you think, it can clear 4 damage on only the opponent's side for 2, on just 1 spell power, which they can random roll at the very worst, or use of their many spell damage buffing cards. landslide will do a great job early on in curve.

Luckysoul Hoarder potentially replaces Spirit Jailer in Soul DH to guarantee Felosophy hits on Bladed Lady. Soul DH doesn't really care THAT much on having the 1/3 on board early because most of their damage is over the top anyway. Corrupting it is nice and all, but I don't think is completely necessary.

All in all a good review but I would say that Guidance actually sounds very influential for a totem shaman of sorts. They normally tend to run overload as well for synergy so this is a way to get overload at a 1 mana cost and as totem shaman is aggroy this as a 'two mana draw two spells' would be great for, say, totemic splitting your legendary totem at a priority or even potentially draw your finisher with Bloodlust. Maybe you only want one, maybe you want both, but this is a big combo piece for me. It's not insane but it's good enough to break the 1 star in my mind for shaman.

It's worth noting that Solar Eclipse + Arbor Up is 7 mana 6/4 6/4 4/3 4/3, not to mention +4/2 to any minions already on board. That's kind of nutty.

Deathwarden is a card you put in your control deck to deal with deathrattle combo decks, most of which are in wild. I think there is a foreseeable standard meta where you run a one of the Deathwarden as deathrattle hate when playing control.

Arbor up was a great addition to my token aggro Druid deck. I destroyed most aggro rogues and zoolocks. Love the card. Treant Druid still has no hope though

4 mana 7/7 overload 2 is not quite the same as 5 mana 4/4 +3/+3 overload 1, but it's close, requires at least one minion to already be on the board. Counts as an overload for overload synergies, and if your board existed before this turn, that 3 damage can go face.

it's a little scary that a 4 mana 5/6 is considered "much too slow" to see play. I think the game has moved from minion interaction based towards being non-interactable. It seems like most decks I play against are just playing by themselves

Bola shot is pretty good to combo with slate Also landslide becomes 2 mana flamestrike with only one spell damage which can come from rune dagger And Imprisoned Phoenix is a decent filler card for elemental mage

I got 4 decks to try out, burn shaman with dormant phoenix, murloc shaman with the big buff guy with crab rider, treant druid, big paladin with barricade and the new dragon, and a token corrupt priest that is probably my least favorite and least likely to work

The star rating system being so tied to the immediate impact on the meta is kind of outdata these days. There is going to be an entirely new meta not too long from now, and the majority of the lifespan of these cards in standard will be in those future metas. Evaluations should look to possibilities and raw power more than how prevalent they will be in the next 6 weeks.

I would like either A video focusing on the duals and wild formats, or brief explanations and stars for those as well. Standard is too much to keep up with, but casual duals and wild are fun modes to tinker with. Anyone else, also love the star ratings in the vids.

Figures that the shaman cards are strong. The spell damage card can be added to the already strong spell damage burn shaman. Then the buff card will make the aggro shaman more viable. Idk what trump is smoking

I honestly don't think libram of justice is better than hammer of the naaru, often 3 damage is enough and you probably aren't running out of health often as libram paladin
