Former President Donald Trump is leaving the public in suspense about who he may pick as his running mate, saying he's already privately decided who they will be. The presumptive Republican nominee also claims that person will attend the debate on Thursday night. Hey @alanking6173, do you realize WHY the cost of gas was so low during Trump's second half of his term???? Because Covid was in FULL SWING and NOBODY COULD LEAVE DURING LOCKDOWN!!! Thus, gas prices drop to try and encourage people to get out and buy gas!!!! Hope I put that layman's terms enough for ya!!!!

@gregnichols2721 it went down when we hit energy independence, well before covid hit. You can't deny that gas, food and housing has all went up after 2021, and that's by design.. that's what they run on.. higher prices and higher wages. Although wages have actually gone down since 2021 if you factor in inflation.. all this has happened since 2021, not 2020.

Gas prices are more affected by how much other countries are willing to pay for petrol products than anything. Just so happens the rest of the world is paying top dollar lately. Oil companies are having record profits and have been for some time. They export most of the oil drilled for here, and our refineries have been at max volume capacity for years. They were $2.41 when Trump took office. 2.87 a year later, $2.94 a year later, and $2.32 in early 2020. These are national average prices of course. They climbed from Feb 2021-Feb 2022 which is attributed to ramping production back up from a major fall off in demand. Immediately after Russia hit Ukraine there was a $.60-.$70 jump, and we are back to where prices were just before that. Are you aware of how much money Biden made for the US Treasury when he sold the oil reserves to the oil companies for $90 a barrel and replenished the reserves at $65 a barrel? A boat load. Anyway, yeh we’re exporting a lot more oil and it’s affecting price. From less than half a million barrels per day (BPD) in 2015, exports reached 1 million BPD in 2017, 2 million BPD in 2018, 3 million BPD in 2020, and 4 million BPD in 2023

Vivek: Businessman (Trump also is one ofc), Indian heritage which might pull some moderates over, likeable, young, very smart Tulsi: Would pull lots of moderates over due to being formally a Democrat, Woman, part Samoan Carlson: Very known, honest, popular among right I think Vivek or Tulsi, Carlson is too “offensive/offputting” to the left. I think Vivek and Tulsi are known enough and not too scary for moderates. If Trump wants to double down on being the business man fighter than Vivek. If Trump wants to try to get as many moderates, Tulsi. The woman/race/ethnicity thing isn’t important to me I’m just saying it because it is important to a lot of moderates and could help get lessen the “racist/sexist/bigot” slander against Trump.

The president actually has people who do all things you’re all worked up about. No president has ever been an on duty fireman, border patrol agent, or federal reserve chairman affecting monetary policy. Border crossings at our southern border last month were actually the lowest they’ve been since 2021. The good news is bankruptcies under Biden are down over 40%, 775000 in 2019, and 452,000 in 2023. The economy is doing amazing considering just 4 years ago we spent (printed) more money as a country than ever before in one 4 year period. You should go visit the border sometimes because you know nothing. I lived on the border for over 45 years and Trump has been pushing lies about the border. Texas Paul was at the border recently and there is crowd at the border it’s a bunch of political BS. Trump sure isn’t flying to the border. Many that come from Mexico leave and go back because they can’t afford the rent and cost of buying a home and it’s sad that hate is thrown at these good people from Mexico. I’ve had many come to my home and I’ve helped them out and I’m sick of hearing Trump pushing hate on these hard working people.
