Dear Mr Plastic, It is most pleasing to see you march towards 2,000 subs- I can’t help feeling that there is more where that came from! As to this project- it’s an inspired choice! The engine is a delight and I am greatly taken with it as it was used in so many aircraft. Watched this with considerable interest- thanks my friend! See you on the next one!! Regards, Z

Coming along nicely, looks nicely detailed made a good job of the engine.

Also, Paul, the silver ring you glued onto the front of the engine is the ignition system distribution conduit, and its partial opening is supposed to point directly down to the bottom of the engine. The spark plug leads came out of the ring and ran to the two plugs in the top of each cylinder, and they have to be evenly distributed around the circumference of the engine, relative to the two distributors (the two pieces B13 that still have to be painted an glued on). Again, all this from my R2800 reference manual.

Thanks George appreciated, What started off as a bit of a dare and a one off of doing a video as blown me away with the reaction I got. Sometimes I just want to stop doing videos Has you know it's not the same as going to the bench and chilling it's hard work trying to keep the video going and not bore people But on saying that you guys keep me going. There George I think that was me having a bit of a melt down. You guys stay safe out there and happy modelling.

Excellent work Paul, the cockpit is coming along beautifully and the engine is looking handsome. Reminds me of when I made the F4F Wildcat when I saw the engine set up, regardless that is utterly fantastic, in regards of the parts you don't see, there's not really any need to paint them, I see it that.. if your not going to see it, there's no need to paint and fuss, but.. whatever the professional, if you feel better in painting or working on the part, you do it. Your aircraft your choice, anyway it's looking magnificent.. great masterful work indeed. Stay safe and happy modelling mate 👍

Thanks Joe I have the same view as yourself about part's you can't see ,But doing a video you can leave your self open to criticism about the fact that you haven't fitted or painted a part ,So I tend to slap a bit of paint on it ,Anyway Joe you stay safe and have a good week 👍

@@plasticmonkey5594 I understand what you mean, it can be next to impossible to please all viewers, one such reason I'm not making my own channel, I mean yes I have disability and have co-ordination problems at times, and yes I can produce something to look at but I couldn't deal with working and trying to please others at the same time. Much respect to you mate, really.. much - MUCH respect. Have a great week and be sure to put your feet up every now and then 👍

Thanks Joe ,I sort of enjoy doing videos, It's a different way of working or modelling, it's not so relaxing as going to your bench and picking up a kit ,You sort of got to plan what your going to do ,credit to people who edit there videos it's alot of work, stay safe and happy modelling

Paul, the two zinc chromate colored units that are attached to either side of the rear section of an R2800 engine appear to represent Trumpeter's idea of what the induction air inlets and supercharger(s) are supposed to look like, based on my R2800 engine reference manual''s pictures of R2800 engine installations in F6F Hellcats. If this is the case, then, unfortunately, Trumpeter's representation is not particularly accurate. Also, the red tank with the silver straps, that you installed earlier in the video, is the engine oil reservoir tank.
