I am awed! I have heard and loved this piece for many years .... and so at first, I had great fears .... when I saw the smallish set up I worried what might happen ... where's the orchestra? Where's the trumpet? where are all my expectations? ... but then the music began ... and he began singing ... my heart swelled .... small tears gently formed ... I am overawed and overjoyed .... the production may be small ... but the spirit and the heart of it is joy enormous ... enough to fill this universe ....
Great color in the voice and low register. Be careful with the soft/missing g consonants or else it sounds like “chained” instead of “changed”. We shall be *chanGed. Love seeing this performed by an African singer. Bravo.
I wondered if ‘chained’ was in fact a deliberate variation? The length and make up of word - even at the slower tempo was expressly absent of the G. Lovely rendering - Poor chap with how many audience false starts?
A wonderful, powerful voice. Must say one thing: always have the full wind chest under it, at whatever loudness, or the pitch will wobble on you. Mine does that too, many singers do. A big voice wants to be fed! But you have a big gift from the Lord there, to His praise. And musicality, my goodness yes!
Who is that super man? Wow Sampson, I started following Tema Youth Choir because of u the conductor. I like all : your beautiful dance...and now your great voice performance. I am impressed to see and hear this by an african. Hope we'll meet one day. May God protect u Sampson Jerry Addo.
I would have love to work with this Bass to clean up the vowels. It is a gorgeous voice. He has to learn what is called "Cover" What a sonorous voice! Love it. Now just to line up the vowel and make the pure. I hope to hear more from this Bass. All the best and Thank you.
Beautiful bass/baritone!!!! He sang it very well and hit all the correct notes but the pronunciation of the word was wrong. Is "and we shall be changed" and not chained, as he did. Not chained but changed. And the changed ged should be heard in the song!!
Great to see Africa still appreciates the classics of revelation! Hard to find a good performance of this work with lyric subtitles. Much appreciated. You don't know how close the resurrection is, and how much it will mean for the truly faithful of ALL beliefs in God's grace and his promise to all the chosen species.
My goodness! I imagine that were it not for the pandemic, Mr. Addo would be singing on concert stages across this planet. One of the most amazing _bassi_ I have ever heard! BRAVO!!!
Hallelujah!! Wooooooow what a pitch perfect rendition. This choir never fails to deliver. What a glorious music to back him up.!! More anointing to you all!
Love and congrats from me in Jamaica. God has blessed us as a people with a voice to sing for Him .Indeed bro Sampson I looked forward to being changed. Got chills ad you sang. Thanks and may God give you strength to continue.
O que me impressiona é ver algo tão lindo e tanta gente vir aqui apontar defeitos. Um grande artista se faz no seu caminho. Com essa bela voz, certamente, ele o fará. Intenso e belo, espero.Grande voz. Talento incrível! Parabéns a todos que fizeram a apresentação e o vídeo.
I’m not a big fan of synthetic music but it’s surprisingly good. The voice of that singer is out of this world ! Well done and hopefully someone will recognise this talent and put him in front of a « real orchestra « no offence to the keyboard players
These are people with some serious skills . The soloist and the gentleman playing the keyboards they have sent chills down my spine. God is great and worthy to be praised.
THIS VOICE is teeming with magnificence! If I may offer two suggestions... 1. The prospect of being "chained" (instead of CHANGED) keeps drGging me vack to earth; and 2. I would have liked to see the singer use body language to tell the story and really hold the audience. You are exceptionally gifted, it won't take much to elevate your craft. I am amazed 😊
Good bass singer. But the word from him is 'chained' instead of 'changed'. I don't know if that was a deliberate one. He has changed the meaning of the song entirely by saying 'chained'. He needs to correct this next time. Wonderful rendition though.
