President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump are in Puerto Rico to view the damage from Hurricane Maria. Trump uses the occasion to congratulate the government on how wonderful of a job they are doing.

So basically this was a meet & greet? I didn't hear 45 say anything about expediting aide to the areas that are still incommunicado. If I were in PR, or had family in PR I would be so disappointed. I"m a citizen and I am horrified by the lack of any plan being laid out to help people have hope that help was coming. :-(
Roz Wynn for one thing you don't speak for PR. Second, he is doing more for them than any other president would have done. Third he have came through for every crisis we have had so far faster than the past two presidents before. The same two presidents who run and help people from over seas before they help those here in the U.S. You know, the things everyone complained about for years. Taking days and weeks to help people in your own back yard but can go help someone half way around the world with aid? This was an "incredible" meeting in PR. What an "incredible" job our Coast Gaurd, Navy, FEMA, Airforce did here and saving 16,000 lives in Texas. All they did was not only "dangerous" it was "expensive". I feel like he was hint dropping.
Every public appearance is like an awards show. Is this the only thing he knows? Stats? Bragging? So he congratulated all "his" people and the people saying good things about him then talks about the budget with Puerto Rico and other hurricanes in other states and how "his" people has worked in other states. I doubt these people in Puerto Rico with this horrible disaster care about hearing about the other hurricanes in other states when they are still in need, this was nothing but a feel good conference for him. How can anybody think this was the best things to say to these people, our people. I hate speaking negatively about our president but good god he's just to much, everything is about him and that's so wrong it should be about the people.

He's literally worse than George Bush and I hated the way he handled Katrina. Can't help but notice how Trump said "your people", then cleaned it up and said "our people". Guess we see how he feels about the people of Puerto Rico. Kinda reminds me of when George Bush, who is from Texas, referred to New Orleans as "your part of the world" as if it were a foreign country and not one state away from his home state.

What is going on? There are people in Houton and in Puerto Rico who say they are not doing so well. Houston gets a jello in the morning or one small item like that each morning and no more food for the day according to people who are putting up live video's from there. I just watched a video about fema jail barges with the Puerto Rico residents being shipped out on them. What is going on? Many are saying they lost homes in Houston due to neglegance they didn't give a warning to the residence to prepare they told them at 8pm about the releasing of the dam which was opening up at midnight so that is only 4 hrs of notice and everything is closed by that time how can anyone prepare or pack anything or salvage ANY OF THEIR BELONGINGS IN THAT AMOUNT OF TIME? As many of us know we have the ability to create these storms or should I say the ONES WHO HAVE ALL THE MONEY AND MUCH CONTROL? They do not like our President and I believe they are doing this on purpose either to him and us to get their way as a tantrum and that is the better scenario the other one would be he is aware and going along with it or it is other countries that are mad using weather wars. I think people are missing the point. Most of the good things the military does goes unnoticed; they're not looking for praise in the first place. Most enlistment contracts are based on volunteering anyway. No diploma, No contract. How many high school drop outs help their community? How many think on a national level? The president was never in the military. She's not a first responder to crisis situations. Her job is to shine light on situations that need our immediate attention, and things that "could" be better. If she brings the people together in a common interest then she's doing her job. (that love/hate relationship gets put on hold when there's a job to do). Plenty high ranking officials in politics need to be pampered and have their asses kissed before hand. You make your superiors look good, they take care of you (well, the good ones anyway). Do it regardless, you're a volunteer that's knows better....for a sense of community, and the greater good. Finally starting to look political, but that's not a bad thing. She would look better with a local historian briefing and projected future endeavors outcomes, before hand.
