If you get the first two hits of his light auto combo you can cancel it and get a confirmed level 3.

You can cancel the flip jump into shining slash. I do the medium flip jump into medium shining slash. It auto locks and works full screen . it looks like you jump off the wall.

You can also mention that with assists, Trunks inital auto-combo 1 can be stopped at the slash for a really easy cross-up on a blocking opponent.

Wow this video is good. These are great breakdown of the characters. The cyclone buster will have good pressure potential after you showed that you can attack with normals during it. And at 2:47 it can even cross up.

I always use cyclone buster as a setup for Burning Attack

Trunks's ult is the most beautiful punishment when blocking a close range spammer ; )

Trunks level 3 is pretty easy to work into combos if you carry them to the corner, which is pretty easy once you figure out how combos actually work.

My friend completely punishes me with Trunks just using his auto combo.

You can easily combo into the level 3 with a hard knockdown against the wall, which a cgood combo will carry the enemy towards anyway.

Use adult gohan's power up auto combo, tag trunks with his lvl 3 super (4 ki needed), and you'll have duo spirited fighters there.

What are you talking about, I think his Ultimate is one of the best cause it's goes through blocking. It's like a grab and can be good mix up if pressured enough

Just a fighting game terminology correction: That's not what a "link" means. A "link" in fighting games means when you land 2 attacks in succession (ergo combo), but the second attack lands after the animation of the first attack has completely finished. There is no such thing as "priority" in fighting games - it's all frames. In your video you said Trunks got hit by a super dash after he whiffed his command grab - that's NOT because Trunks' grab has lower "priority" than super dash, but rather because during the recovery frames of the grab, Trunks is vulnerable. (SFV is a notable exception, however)

You should do a re-Amp of characters

watched your vid and you made some good points but you are wrong about the utility of his level 3. in the game when a opponent is smashed into the ground to cause a ground skid/scrape, they are still in an active state to be hit by supes and assists. even command grab supers like androd 16 and trunks can pick up the opponent from what would seem to be a hard knockdown state. so with the right positioning you can go straight into his level 3 as soon as he lands.

Am i the only one that just simply slams the enemy into the corner in order to use the special with 3 bars? Legit i only use it when i have the enemy against the corner and i get the slam animation where they're sliding across the ground and im right there, then i use it.

3:08 If the Burning Attack can “only be used while on the ground” then how do you explain how he used it in the AIR UPSIDE DOWN even in the OVA History of Trunks when he fights the androids alone after the 3 year time skip Maybe bc they wanted to nerf it or something or bc technically that fight scene isn’t in the manga making it non canon either way it’s possible for him to use it in the air as shown in that one scene Also I always thought all the arm movements were badass but pointless bc the attack itself is kinda disappointing It’s literally just a big Ki ball similar to the Big Bang Attack Vegeta has Edit: 3:50 That unnamed move is from the Android 13 movie which is also technically non canon but made it in the game anyway to add to his move set So maybe the developers just didn’t watch the OVA 🤷🏻‍♀️ Update: Just found out that he has the colors representing his outfit from the OVA so they DID watch it and are aware of it ok never mind then BUT my point is that if Trunks wanted to he COULD use Burning Attack in the air in the anime
