Hi Lisa! Thanks for the comment. On one hand, I agree - the places like this should be left alone, untouched. On the other hand, nothing is constant in this word. We have the detector because we are fossils collectors (mostly buying petrified wood on ebay). For this kind of hobby, you need something to measure radiation. Hi! My understanding is that the glass may come and go depending on the weather (calm or storm). You will likely have more luck at low tide (check the tide charts for the right timing). I doubt you will see much at high tide.

Hi! Yes, we came in the morning and then in the evening. I guess the secret is to come at low tide. There is a little beach right in front of the rock occupied by birds (a bit north of the closed/fenced part). You should follow the crowd. But if you did not see people on the shore, it was likely a high-tide time. Hope you will be more lucky next time. Cheers!
