That explains a lot, among which how humanly unthinkable it is to boast such sensory reflexes. A human is a human, Japanese or otherwise, and even the good average cannot come close to some of these sections. This counts among the few titles where 10,000 or 20,000 hours of training over years of practice won't matter, there will be a barrier for most of us "normal" beings. There are limits, a cap to what one can accomplish in an exceptionally, ludicrously demanding psycho-visual effort, no matter how long and hard one trains his mind to it. This is borderline insanity, I mean it.

I couldn't go forth beyond stage 4 boss. I used to be a good shoot'em up player but the difficulty was really crazy.

I beaten both loops without dying it took about two years of practice but it's been done what a ride this game is vicious to newcomers

+Chris Morris On Saturn this would have been a perfect port like Batsugun was. On Genesis this would have been a mess, even the first Tatsujin was not so well translated (graphically wise at least). Actually this was available on an obscur home console in Japan, that was basically a home computer turned into a console. But they're almost impossible to find now, even i you manage to find one this will cost you a gigantic amouth of money.

I'm sure Marc's aware of it, but since it was only available in the arcade, the FM Towns Marty, and MAME (Marc doesn't like emulators), he probably hasn't played it.

My guess is that since this is arcade only, the only way to play it now is through an emulator and he only does physical games.

He could play it for the FM towns marty but an original copy would prolly run him close to 1k.

maybe not a hack, but I concede I have a hell of a hard time even understanding what goes on the screen, and trust me i'm no noob in Schmups, let alone hardcore gaming in general ever since the Nes of which I am a veteran player. This is craziness incarnate. I quit after facing boss 1. I will not be able to get past this unless I use up all of my bombs and even then there is a chance I'll miss somewhere. Way too extremely punitive to me, smashes my personal acceptable difficulty threshold by an enormous margin. Like gigantic, universal. We aren't machines, and we have a life outside, means this game cannot be beaten since it has checkpoints after lives lost and continues, no possible way to stack up the bullet sponges by counting on respawns. So you can pretty much hit a damn insurmontable wall at some point and never , ever get past a certain section in which you'll be forbidden to even upgrade enough. Die once and you're screwed is clearly applicable here. And even then, I'll say after second thoughts that upgrades don't even seem to matter that much. I say again, I am not even saying it is hard, I am saying this is utter , unbelievable madness starting at boss 1 when homing energy balls start coming your way. Margin for maneuver hence error is so extremely tiny. Insanity, I tell you. Checkpoints mean no insane amount of training will change anything for the vast majority of even dedicated player. Tried 10 min, quitting. Kudos to the one gaming here, because this is not human.
