I've got one on my 3.3 and it absolutely sings, got some videos of it up. Useful detail, the stock traxxas dust boot fits it perfectly for when you need to replace it.
GLAD to see you’re standing north to south. Best wishes for your complete recovery…..luck me it suck’s getting old,,😬. I just bought that carb,,are the settings the same as the traxxas carb…thanks. Stay well….🇺🇸👍🚘
@@thebug4046 I want that pipe bad. That might be a next season purchase for the Revo. You think that carb would be a first step in making the 3.3 more powerful?
@@coreytarducci36 The pipe that's on this engine in the video the owner is currently not making any right now since he had some injuries in an accident and the other pipe I mentioning the Ritter pipe Are no longer being made he just has old stock once they're gone that's it.
Speaking of slipper clutches. Just found out two months ago that traxxas sells an upgrade kit for the 2.5 t-maxx so it uses three brake pad looking things instead of the pegs for $25 USD. Been running it on mine for a while now and been pretty happy with it. Part number is 5351X
I feel you I feel off my ladder two stories up and broke my wrist foot and ankle I been in a wheelchair since July and still can’t been told I won’t walk normal anymore without assistance from a walker or something so I just been waiting your channel and others wishing I had a nitro rc or something one day keep up the good work
Dude that really sucks I'm sorry to hear that happened to you hopefully a speedy recovery in your back to normal soon my surgeon did say that this injury could take app to 2 years to fully heal I can just barely run now after 6 months of having a tibia nail
@@thebug4046 yeah I been told the same 6 months to a year before I can even stand up than I been told I might still need a wheelchair for long distance walking I have external fixator pins and rides are on the outside of my foot because it's two bad to fix it inside right now
@@travusschlenker2620 oh man that's brutal! A buddy of mine got into a car accident last year and both legs got broken he is full of pins screws and rods he can walk but is still having a hard time. I hope you heal well and quickly! 💯🍻
Spaghetti noodles and ketchup packets? Some people ain’t right. Can’t wait to see it rip once you get all healed up. Thanks for the tips bug. Informative as always.
Won't be for quite some time probably a few months. As it's off being modified. Best go to the Nitro RC enthusiasts group on Facebook post a video about it. I'm an admin in their. My engine is set to only run 0% nitro so the carburetor settings won't be of any use.
Thanks for keeping nitro content alive! I have a 3.3 Tmaxx. Stock and running well. Running Bones Brew becuause of you and love it. Question is, OS carb or dynamite .19? I ask because similar cost. My 3.3 has about 1.5-2 gallons through it is all. Power to me is secondary to tunability and driveability.
@@thebug4046 Sounds good, may do the carb since my motor has life left. Do you know if there a difference between 11K and 11KR? Says they both fit the .21tm so both should work I’d think.
@@gforce_117 the KR has a different arm on it for the Revo and slash. The K model has the ball arm for the Tmaxx Make sure to examine both pictures carefully to notice any other differences.
@@thebug4046 Lol for real. Honestly I would run the stock 3.3 plastic shafts/knuckles. They're cheap compared to cvd's and seem to hold up quite well. Cheap to rebuild aswell with readily available parts.
I got me a os 21 F . New in package.. the crankcase is too small for this OS carb that I got . I might machine /cut it down a bit and make it fit .. I think I’ll work .
So I know it needs to be tuned specific to location and conditions, but I can’t even find a rich starting point for the needles on the 11K for the 3.3. I can find the stock settings as if it were gonna be used on the OS engine but not where a starting point would be for using it on the 3.3. I have no idea if i should start at 6 turns out or 1 turn. Would save me a lot of time if someone had a rough starting point for the needles. Gotta start rich, I know, but factory settings seem way too rich cus it hydro-locks a bunch.
6 turns out is way to much. I think it only 4 truns out and 2.5 on the low speed i Believe. I could be wrong as it's been over a year since I ran that engine last. But what I can suggest is going on the Nitro RC enthusiasts group on Facebook im an admin in their. Post a video of it will be much easier to help. Also os lc3 plug is what you want. And make sure your plug is being lit properly because if it's not it will be really hard to start and tune.
Traxxas should make a 3.3R for racing (obviously) and make a actual good carburetor and put it on. put in a decent rod and glow plug and a good pipe from the factory and bring back the nitro 4-tec and gear it higher and make a nitro (hopefully) hit 100mph!?!? Or maybe I should keep dreaming 😂
The ercm pipe is a real expansion chamber Which makes 2 stroke engines work properly. The Traxxas pipe is more of a muffler then a tuned pipe. The difference is night and day. The ercm pipe really wakes the engine up! All over high low and bottom. And offers much better response and tuning stability.
Ya we are in a dry climate with not much humidity and at 4300' elevation which helps, I just only delt with shitty 2 needle carbs never had a quality 3 needle. Was told whatever adjustment you make on the low u adjust or compensate on mid needle
@@SLC_nitro post up in the Nitro RC enthusiasts group on Facebook im an admin in their you can post your videos or pictures questions and that will make it much easier to get help
You better order yourself a few extra "Thermo Insulator's". They are getting harder to find and they love to crack when you tighten the pinch bolt. I've been looking for SOMEONE willing to make me a copy from Stainless Steel but nobody wants to HELP a brother out!
Whats up bug I have a question the 2.5, 2.5r, and 3.3 traxxas motors are they a equivalent to a .15 .18 or .21? Also do you know what the equivalent of a xtm 247 is? I have a 247 that needs a rebuild soon.
@@thebug4046 thank you that makes a lot more sense I could never figure that ou even from looking it up. Have a wonderful day man can't wait for more videos!
Hello. I have a question do you now the difference between the OS 11 K and the OS 11 KR carburetor I can’t find any information they seem very similar but the KR is a couple dollars cheaper. Thanks. Wayne from Ohio USA.
The KR has a different throttle arm that only fits the revo. And to buy the other throttle arm is like 30$ extra. just buy the 11k and save yourself the time and extra money
@@thebug4046 Thank You so much. Good to know I’m looking to put one on a Jato 3.3. But I also do have a Revo 3.3 so that’s great news. Thanks. Keep up the good videos love your content. Wayne.
I've got a couple of those, they're 12mm body, while the TRX is 13mm and most small blocks are 10mm. Do you happen to have the slide or rotary version?
@@thebug4046 yeah I always saw them online from the big dealers until 2020, I think that’s when they were discontinued, I mean there’s a chance they just didn’t show discontinued until they ran out of stock, but if we’re going off 9 years, I would be amazed since they are decent 3.3 carb replacements so someone would buy them up. And as for the 11K, I do really wanna try it, because I have 4 3.4s in all kinds of cars, rs4 3, tmaxx, jato, ten t, but I’m worried they won’t work right with It, and idk that’s a lot of risk for $70 yk?
@@superaidenproductions1870 We haven't seen them here at any hobby shop or online in several years and the 11K carb is worth it. As you will have it for ever and you can put it on your 3.4 3.3 2.5R engines it tunes awesome and performs very well over the factory carbs even better then the losi carbs
@@thebug4046 ok that’s all I wanted to confirm, I have a .15cvx which is a monster and super easy to tune so I know os is good stuff, and yeah your right they make parts forever, I just wasn’t sure how well it was gonna work on a 3.4. I know it would fit but wasn’t sure how it’d run. But thanks! I’m gonna pick one up then
Posted up in the Nitro RC enthusiasts group on Facebook im an admin in their! We can help ya! And how hot? And what kind of fuel are you using? OS 11K carburetor OS LC4 GLOW plug and a 20 or 30% nitro with no higher then 12% oil. Avoid basher fuel and Traxxas fuel to much oil will make it harder to tune and run to hot!
@thebug4046 I've been running VP Racing 20% fuel, with the traxxas 3232x long-medium plugs. I've only got about 1/2 gallom of fuel thru it. It gets up to 310 and I shut it down. No matter how rich I run it, still runs hot. I got the engine apart now to seal everything up with rtv and do a carb rebuild. If that doesn't work, I'll replace the carb.
@@Chris-0113 Don't put that stuff on your engine it has o-rings to seal. all that does is get into your engine and destroy stuff because it is slightly abrasive the fuel just eats right through it. I bet you anything it's just the carb probably needs to be replaced I also make sure you don't have any fuel or exhaust system leaks.
@@thebug4046 I check amain n rc planet but the OS website didn’t seem like you were able to purchase anything off of it. I’ll have to check again. Thx bud. I have a new jato n it just refuses to idle. Give it gas from a stop n it Boggs bad n if I let off it stalls. If I stay in it it seems to start breaking up until it gets through it n then moves.
@@hardsweatyworker if you are putting it on a 2.5 grab a 3.3 crank as well. Will really wake it up! Especially if you have a half decent pipe plug and fuel
I will actually I was going to actually get a new 3.3 but I might do that because I have a built Tmaxx classic with a 3.3 swap and I have my original tmaxx that has been sitting for a while so I’m going to go through it and I wanted more reliable carbs for both of them so I’ll do that
@@hardsweatyworker gotcha! OS LC3 glow plug is best for the 2.5 they tune very well on it. You will love how it runs. And if Rick Ritter has any of his tmaxx pipes left that's a nice upgrade as well!
