If you want the best suspension setup i suggest you go and check out this link for the WPS kits! This changed my suspension setup dramatically 👌 j-techsuspension.co.uk/collec...
So, Tommy, here’s a harder question. You and Lewis are pro-riders and that Shock upgrade has worked for you. I ride Innerleithen and make a good gist of it, but not at your pace - nowhere near. So, is it going to bring the same benefits to the ‘average’ punter? Or are we going to find it harder to exploit (feel the difference) and therefore find it less ‘cost-effective’. And, look, I realise objectively you can only judge for yourself. But, you can offer a view, really you can 😊
Wow sunny in Scotland is it Christmas 2024 already 😂😂 can we just appreciate some amazing riding from Tommy in a attempt to keep up with Lewis Plus shredder of the year for me has go to bienvenido aguado Merry Christmas And a happy new year everyone
You are testing a tuned shock and a shock of the shelf the rockshox is a great shock set up right. Plus was that a progressive spring it looked a lot shorter.
Same setting put into the standard shock as the WPS. The WPS shock had a WPS spring and the standard shock had a rockshox spring. A progressive spring would have made the shock feel worse with the kinematics of that bike
But how does it compare to the EXT Storia Lok V3 ? I love it, but mine is tuned to the Geometron G1 frame and has spherical bearings as it came with the frame kit. I've not heard of WPS before this video. Good there are options to fix bad tunes from big brands.
I got the same wps tuned rs from jteck.i have no clue how to set suspension up i have benn messing round with shocks for years .this time i told jteck my weight and went for an all mountain tune.and keeping it to their recommended set up /no off clicks.feels good but still no clue !guess they are the specialists
loved the vid ( and the Zerode) but i have the same questions as the others .. did the stock shock have the same spring as the tuned shock, and was the stock shock set up correctly for your weight and the terrain?
The standard shock has all the same settings for my weight as the wps so the standard has been tuned but has a stock spring, the wps runs its own spring and spacer overall a much nicer setup for that shock 👌👌
it depends cinematic too... when you ride a single pivot, you have to put a very good shock ! But when you have a good cinematic like VPP even with a stock shock the bike is very good
Didnt expect to see this marketing rubbish from TChype. Obviously the tuned shock is going to feel better , imagine the original shock actually felt better. Id hedge a bet this video wouldnt have made it out
Stoked you're loving the bike bro, just a heads up - the proper way to pronounce Katipō is more like "Katuh-po" and ive just realised this is basically impossible to explain with text. Anyway its the name of the only spider over here that could cause you any real harm if bitten. 🤘
Id say unless your ragging on the bars which unless your trying to backflip then you won’t accidentally shift mate even if you did its an instant change anyway so it doesn’t act like it does on a derailleur system
