I still think one part is specifically very sweet: "I'm not leaving your side till we find what matters" from Annabeth, meaning she will stick by them until they find Percy's mom since that's important to Percy. "I'm not leaving your side till we're back home" from Grover, meaning he'll keep them save until the very end. "I'm not leaving your side till you're remembered" from Percy, meaning he'll stick by them until Annabeth has finally proven herself with the quest they're on. Because that's important to her. The meaning behind those lines might be very obvious but I just like writing stuff like this down. I just love how they're all referring to other songs and how they are all trying so hard for each other...ugh I love them.

This, for me, is the best song on the soundtrack and I'm so utterly devastated that they took it out? Like!! It's got all their deepest fears and desires, and THEN on top of that they have their promises to each other AND they have them facing it all together.... The tenderness ... And the lyrics how "I'm not leaving your side" with each one pointing to the other (Percy losing what matters most, annasbeths fear of disappearing, Grover and his failed promise to Thalia) and the whole "I'll probably get the whole thing wrong" because they all thought they're screwups... Bro this compares with the parallels of Last Day of Sumemr with Good Kid for me. Except this isn't a villain song. Creators if you see this I've had this song on repeat for like 3 hours. It's a blessed

This musical gives me chills and makes me cry more than it should. If another musical doesn't happen with these cut songs or some version of them-

"We're not brave, we're not strong, we're not soldiers" This line and that one part in The Last Day of Summer (you all know the one) are lyrics that can be so emotionally powerful. Like damn man reading the books as a kid it was a fun adventure, but then you really look back at the fact that these were children from dysfunctional families trying to protect the people they love. And a small part of them just wants to make their parents proud too even if not all of them have parents that care about them. The person writing these lyrics somehow managed to capture all that in a way I didn't get when first reading the books
