The town I grew up in is full of normies. Everyone looks and dresses the same. Now that I've gone through several identity discoveries regarding my fashion style. Dressing for myself and not for anyone else. I've slowly transitioned to a 90s street wear/hippie/emo/goth style yet it's so daunting because of the judgement. I can't wait to move out into the city and not have to tone down my looks. My spike bracelets, fishnets, chains, lace gloves and etc are all stowed away but when I get the chance to dress up imma take it.

As the older brother of the vid at 1:47 Yes, I watch ur videos and yes, that video's awful so its ok 😭 It was however very fun to make that almost 2 yrs back, my emo-ness has improved since I swear😁
As a former emo kid who is now 30, I can tell you right now, that 90% of these people on the cringe compilation would be called posers where I'm from, and they would be severely bullied. When I was 13-16 to be emo you had to be: 1. Attractive 2. Dress well/proper attire 3. Not talk about being sad or how cool it is to cut even if we did or not we wouldn't talk about it. 4. Always have good dye Job. Period!
I know right!? So many posers! Also there were so many subcultures that overlapped like punk, goth, alt, indie, hardcore/metal, screamo, skaters, scene, emo, artsy, theatre kids, crunk punk, straight edge, ect... It wasn't always so cookie cutter there was a spectrum of misfit subculture but we could all spot a poser from miles away 😅
As a goth who was there for the rise and fall of emo, im almost 40. 100% agree. Most goths and emos today are posers and will dogpile you for saying so cause "gatekeeping is bad", when no gatekeeping is letting posers are redefining the music subculture to just makeup and "aesthetics".
i love how in johnnie's videos the comments are completely normal but in jake's they're all like "we love to see the retirement home let these 2 ladies out to make a video! ❤😊"
