I can handle being around (some) reptiles and amphibians, but the minute you bring out a tarantula, I’m making like an Olympic sprinter and gettin’ the heck outta there!
Just finished watching. My dear producers.... it's a try not to flinch, not a try not to move or try not to touch. I think it was unfair that you penalized those who wanted to touch the animals. Flinching means running away, not moving towards it willingly! Why punish a good movement towards animals that get a rough rep?
When the Bullseye people don't know the definition of "flinching." Willingly interacting with the animals doesn't count as flinching. Especially if you are trying to keep it from falling off the table.
i get what you’re saying, but he literally said any movement of your hands will be counted as flinching. the rules were stated at the beginning of the video and petting violates the rule stated. 🤷🏻
@@GojosBackHand Clearly you're the one that's clueless. Words can mean different things with in the context of the game. The game Taboo doesn't actually mean the words in the game are Taboo to say in real life. It just means in the context of the game, the words in the game are considered Taboo, even though none of the words are Taboo.
For real. At a zoo where I worked for half a year, I regularily held our 3.7 m albino Boa and explained about it for guests, it was sooo gorgeous and very calm too :3
Used to have a Bearded Dragon as a store mascot. My one business partner was going to pick up some crickets or mealworms for him because we were out, but he was hungry, so I gave him some lettuce and he looked at me, looked at the lettuce then looked at me again and walked over to the lettuce and crapped on it! I said to him "I guess you showed me what you thought of lettuce!" lol
I would've lost the second that Tiptoe touched the table, because I would've pet him immediately. Flinching is a *FEAR* response. Penalizing them for NOT being afraid is unfair and doesn't even follow the theme of the challenge.
the handler should have better knowledge bc red foots literally live in rainforests that have a flood season and they can absolutely swim above water when they need to.
They certainly can, 💯 In my line of work I find it best not represent them as “swimmers” because people and children might get the idea to leave their red foot tortoises in deep water without access to land and place them in danger ❤
Penalizing people for _positive_ moves seemed a bit weird to me - this isn't a scenario where _any_ movement = bad. Sabrina picking up a python shouldn't have docked her a point, for example. Recoiling in horror, sure, but reaching out to the snake, turtle, etc. should have not been a penalty.
Sabrina is kind of my type of girl. Likes horror movies, and not a whole lot phases her. And I think I remember a few years ago her saying she liked snakes.
The video should have been titled try not to move, because the rules are too conflicting a flinch is a flinch and moving your hand to touch or pet have different meanings
In the context of the game it has a specific meaning. Just like all games, words can take on different meanings. The game Taboo, doesn't actually mean all the words within the game are actually taboo to say in real life. In the context of the game, the words in the game are considered taboo, even though they are not. You see, the same applies here. The word flinch means one thing in real life, but in the context of game flinch also means just moving any part of the body.
If the only rule is you can't move your hands, then this is a try not to move challenge, not a try not to flinch challenge. A lot of those losses were people wanting to touch the animal, and other times the reactors were clearly freaking out even when they didn't move their hands, so they didn't get a point despite flinching. Love this channel but you might want to rename the video
On one hand I understand that one has massive respect ("fear") for animals on the other hand it's kind of sad, too. Especially all of those in the video are just super chill
I really REALLY hope you let poor Noah give Buddy a kiss after he was such a boss and won. Give the guy a break! He just had eye surgery! Get well soon, my dude. ❤
Moving isn’t flinching the judge should get every point he gave away for just trying to help the animal not die. Animal is about to fall off the table moves to catch it “oh you flinched!’ Oops I flinched and kicked you in your balls eighteen times in a row.
Beardies are the best! Adorable and arguably the best pet lizards. I've actually owned tegus; they can be good pets, and even be almost as affectionate as dogs or cats. It does take a lot of time and effort to tame them; that combined with their size and environmental needs means they aren't suitable for many people
If someone casually walked a tarantula into the room I’d have quit filming entirely lol the way I have a massive panic attack in the presence of any spider larger than a dime would have me drained for the rest of the day 😅
Love how this was supposed to be a be scared and don't flinch episode. But actually was people connecting on deep levels with critters. Especially Jayka, Sabrina, and Martina. That moment with Jayka when she was holding Buddy. Was almost pure bliss... And where can I find Sam? Would love to work for/with her, helping critters out all day or night....
I wish I had Sabrina's love and bravery when it comes to creepy crawlies. Im a big coward when it comes to tortoises and snakes. Spiders are also my worst fear. You got my respect girl. Shout out to Noah as well. He held his own. Hope he has a speedy recovery from his eye surgery ❤
no but I would’ve “flinched” for almost all of these cause I want to hold and pet them. unfair that the reactors can’t pet without being penalized for a “flinch”
guess the powers that be have no clue what "flinching" means. As an earlier post stated, you lose if you try to prevent the animal from falling off thetable. Guess you are just supposed to let it fall and hurt itself.
I have a family of native bearded dragons that live in in the bush next to my house. They are so friendly that they will actually come up to us for a pat, and we can hand feed them peanuts and insects. Just an amazing creature
My brother had a bearded dragon once. I thought that thing was the coolest creature he had growing up (Aside from Garter snakes and turtles) because of how they puff their beards out
Abhi - you need to look up definitions of words, my dude. Flinch = "make a quick, nervous movement as an instinctive reaction to fear, pain, or surprise." Moving *towards* something or petting something _is not_ flinching.
@@DonovanHaumpy Then it should be a Try Not to Move/Touch/Pet challenge. Flinching implies moving away. Intentionally moving towards is the complete opposite.
The only one's I wouldn't be able to do is the Milipeede and the spider. To many legs on my skin make me uncomfy and I'd wanna get it OFF but the rest would be AMAZING to have
I loved this episode!! I feel like I could have been like Noah and not move but also like Sabrina and want to touch everything lol. I love snakes, spiders, and lizards and turtles are cool. Then some bugs I can handle vs others lol
So what I'm understanding is if the tortoise is about to fall off the table and someone tries to save it they lose for "flinching"? These are some dumb rules.
I love how bearded dragons are always so relaxed and fine to just lie there! Tarantulas have the weirdest feet! They have tiny hooks and you can feel them
I was so proud of Sabrina, I never thought she would have been so excited to touch these wonderful creatures. 💗 I wish I could have been there, I definitely would have lost, I would be touching all of them.😊
Bearded Dragons are so common in rural areas. Usually perched up on wooden fence posts in a farm paddock or the like. As a lad i would always stop when riding my dirt bike to say hi to the little fellas
milipade, tortoise, lizard/breaded dragon, pyton i can handle with those, just don't Give me That TARANTULA..All spider species,NOPE~ Get that thing outta Here~😱
Thats silly, counts against them if they actually want to touch/pet the animal. So pretty much saying if you arent scared then we gotta give u a mark if you touch them. Gotta get ya to lose somehow.
