The “foam and slime” one looks like those 90’s Dr Dreadful zombie candy kits! Gave me a flashback to the brain-foam-stuff where the powder wasn’t fully dissolved so there would be foamy slime and dry fizzy bits.

Ramune (the brand name of the most popular "Japanese Soda") is litterally a mispronounciation of "Lemonade". So you described the flavor perfectly. Also, the bottles have a transparent glass ball gimick to open so the transparent gummy ball is on brand too.

That first kit is for spherification! It's a gastronomy technique. "popping" bubbles in boba tea are the same thing, and East Side Mario's has some drinks (non-alcoholic) with little bubbles made the same way.

I just wanted to say I bought your kits yesterday and I am so excited!!! I love doing sculpey sculptures and have even started making humanoid mythical creatures with clothing as a challenge. So I am really excited to try your kit especially the resin part never done that and have always wanted to try! fun fact! the burger poppin cookin has 2 versions which my friends and i found out recently, the one that is marketed in japan (with japanese instructions and labels) uses a microwave and has their snack as savory and tasting like what it is while the one that is in english for a western audience doesnt require any "cooking" and the taste of it is actually sweet and not a burger taste, my friends figured out that it is probably alot to do with how many westerners found the real flavors of the japan kit gross (i actually prefer it) and decided to go for the sweet route to appeal to the foreign market where the concept of a savory candy-like kit is kinda unheard of

When I was watching the first kit, it reminded me of a video of a guy deep-frying water using a similar method. Pretty much, what creates the blobbiness of the blob is either sodium or calcium alginate (both can be used I believe). The alginate creates a membrane around the water, making it form a pocket of water that bursts when punctured. Science ftw!! I should say I'm not a scientist, just a person who spends too many hours watching RU-vid.

I get you on the texture thing... The one I can't stand is the soggy bread type texture. Makes my stomach turn! 💀💀💀 Makes me shiver and make an unintentional face just thinking about it. You know how you have a prayer to the baking gods for clay? Do we need one for odd Japanese candy kits? I'd love to see what you'd say for that.

Yay! This is perfect! I have one of these kits. I was planning on doing it with my kid, but we were both so intimidated by it that it’s just been sitting in the pantry, lol. This helps so much! We used your video with Sika to do the Kracie Poppin’ Cookin’ kit with the little cakes to make that kit.

I love the little Japanese candy kits. Awhile back there was an American version called Yummy Nummies. They cost more and everything tasted like pure granulated sugar. They were gross. I stick to the Japanese ones. Suppose to be going to a semi local Japanese market this month, I'll have to see if they have some of these kits to try.

With the 3 base colors, you can go anywhere. Except yellowish blue, AKA the.forbidden color.
