Thank you for sharing your makes, this is an adorable pattern and both dresses are so wearable. I have the same issue with sleeveless tops/dresses. My mom would always bring me in and try on the garment when she got ready to do the armhole. If it cut, I wouldn’t wear it, no matter how cute it was! It is now the first modification I usually make.

Would not have found this pattern without your help! I was looking for a dress pattern for a light weight denim in my stash. I made this dress after seeing your video and I’m so pleased. The bust darts didn’t suit me so I made them smaller and took away some at the bottom of the bust piece. Also made it longer to my knees. I now have a new dress for work. I think I will make a linen one as well.

I haven't seen you in ages and so fun to catch up. Love that pattern but I have an opinion about ties. I think it turns the dress into a more casual presentation but more than that - you are NOT old but it is not mature to have ties, There also doesn't seem to have enough fabric in fullness to need a tie. Yes, I would love to sew along - not for me but for a granddaughter. I better get the info and get the free pattern. Hope your family is excelling in your lives. Your daughters seem so different but both are stunning. I really like the Japanese print and who can loose with linen! Thanks for the time you spend with us and finding free pattern.

That was so much fun to see :) I am also having to make black orchestra clothes for sitting (no short dresses ) as my enormous supply of black items has dwindled to almost nothing after losing 15 lbs. There is an opera singer who posts regularly and I love to see this kind of thing with people in my profession . I am still working out what I will do, but great to see that you found a perfect example for yourself. It looks so perfect for you :)

Lisa, I’m curious to know how you decided to go from a 10 down to a 4. That seems like a huge leap! Did you do flat pattern measurements and downsize to match your own measurements? The linen looks lovely on you.

When I picked the sides I had about 3cm on each side, or more. I looked at the pattern and saw the 4 was most accurate.
