@@Puffmin crazy hpw you got 11 subs by screaming at people saying that your content is better. You have two videos uploaded that are absolutely horrid. Make something better bro
So... in Chile they banned toys AND mascots from "unhealthy foods" (they use a warning sign like "high on calories", if your product has 2 or more, it's considered unhealthy), HOWEVER, Mcdonalds (and all fast food restaurants that include a free toy) resolved this issue by changing the happy meal contents and recipe, all have fruit and a less calorie version of everything, so they can be considered healthy and offer the toy (and no, cereal and other treats could'nt do that unless they quit sugar, which they did in some products)
Chile and San Francisco banned toys with unhealthy fast food, but McDonald's found a way around it by offering healthier options with toys. It's interesting how different countries approach the issue of toys with food.
FUN FACT : The idea for them came from Guatemala in the mid-'70s where a store operator created a menu just for kids called the "Menu Ronald." The idea made its way to Mickey D's HQ in Chicago. Eventually, the decision was made that the special menu should get its own unique packaging
That's funny because i really like McDonald's toys but wasn't a big fan of fast food, i always gave my sister the burger or nuggets and would take the toys😅
Imagine making food so delicious, safe to eat (unlikely to get any food illness), affordable and accessible that it was a major reason for obesity because people couldn’t stop gorging themselves with. That is straight up a massive W.
As a guy who lives in Chile i have to say something. This is not "New", this been around since 2016. About the toys, McDonald's stills gives free toys when you buy a happy meal but instead of coming in the Box, you have to ask in front desk in order to get one. Plus info; In Chile, food that comes with nutritional warning seals is prohibited from using animals in its packaging or as a mascot for the product.
As a chilean, we also have some other interesting facts i can share about those laws on children's health: most cereals don't have a mascot anymore, theres also no Kinder egg selling, although you can get other Kinder related chocolate. And the McDonald's here it still sells toys indeed, and i mean it as someone who has a friend working therer, we just have a very different happy meal menu here: it has a very tiny burger, some dutchness potatoes, fruit compote, juice, a children's book, some cut fruit AND the toy, the last time i was there it was a puppy plushie i think Also, i found so cute how you say "Chili" instant of "Chile"
That's actually so true. I remember when I was a kid, there was this cereal called 'Chocos' and inside it you'd get a Pokemon card pack. The cereal tasted like shit, but the only reason I used to buy it was because of the Pokemon cards.
@@jakecortez4795Palestine, but like they don’t actually support Palestine, like think about it, do you think a greedy asss company would care about a war?
“In San Francisco and Chile It’s illegal to provide free toys that accompany food marketed towards children” Just devide the cost of the happy meal with a 1¢ separate charge for the toy included in the current price. (Ie if now it’s $5 charge $4.99 plus 1¢ for the toy)
Kinda funny cause if I remember right, Kinder eggs are still banned in the USA. Reason is because of the small toy found inside the Kinder egg. Non-nutritive objects found inside confectionaries are illegal.
Imagine stopping to eat food over a war 😂😂😂 McDonalds and the other companies sells millions of things everyday, they dont really care if you buy or not
I cry in Chilean.😢 But even though they banned it here. They changed the contains (like it comes with a juice and an apple) and now they can have the toys.
Im Chilean and Kinder Eggs are banned but Happy meals exists! just, really different than before, they barely have anything tasty, it got turned into a healthy only box
In Mexico now it's illegal for food products to even use cartoons or mascots for their packaging. So a lot of cereal mascots or other designs just disappeared.
In italy we used to eat kinder surprise a lot and also when I was a kid McDonald’s was kinda the best place where to celebrate birthdays and still we aren’t obese 😂 We also have Nutella and lots of carbs as recipes The Main problem is the culture of food, that’s it 😅
I am from Chile and I confirm, there are no cereal mascots and happy meals come with shitty toys, juice, and a lot of healthy things that McDonald's doesn't sell worldwide.
As a Chilean, in 2016/2017, i actually got a toy from a character in Sing when i first went to McDonalds in Los Andes. Now i never came back to McDonald's because there are other chilean fast food i prefer more than McDonald's. it's tough luck, it's just that McDonald's is not popular in this country anymore.
Kinder eggs were banned here in chile but happy meals still have toys in them. And certain foods are obligated to have warnings on them if they are high on sugar, calories, salt or saturated fats.
That “18+” happy meal is called the kerwin frost box which was stopped being produced recently and was created because an artist wanted to create a food box with McDonald’s because he really likes McDonald’s
Maggie, lays, Uncple Chips, Cheetos, Kurkure, Taka-tak, Fata-Fat, Frooti-Pepsico, Gems, Cadbury, Britannia Cream Treats, Chalkies, late 90's when i was born until around my teens, all had toys with food! Me & My brother, were fat kids too ! It does market your brain into associating fast food with happiness ! It all started with free goodies ! I remember asking my dad to buy me poppins that comes with a kids finger ring, late night, searching for it all around the city on his scooter because a girl in school said she got it free with poppins candy 😂! Tazoos, 100's & 1000's of game cards, stationary boxes, action figures, key chains, i used to collect'em all like Pokémon!
